Brilliant service and the food was piping hot as usual. It’s a nice place for either 2 of you or great for a few people to get together either way service is good
An exceptional welcome and a great experience throughout our time there. There was no rush (albeit a Thursday evening) to eat and get out, the atmosphere and ambiance were pleasant and calm. The service was brilliant and polite. My young daughter said thank you for the meal after - showing her gratitude for the service we received.
Food was excellent, service was a bit slow, and a couple of meals late out, but in fairness we were a party of 20
As ever, good food, service and value. Will return in future
Only 5 other people in restaurant Only 2 staff members which put us off a bit at first However.... great service and great food
Great food. Good service. Reasonable price. Will visit again 😁
Lovely reception. Nice staff. Lovely food. Great evening. Highly recommended.
Did was ok, but outings could be better size. Staff were really friendly
Really enjoyed our meal. Lovely and efficient service. Thank you
Great food, lovely setting and lovely staff, this restuarant is a hidden gem that i recommend everyone tries at least once
We had a lovely meal last night, the staff were very helpful making sure our meal were at the right level of spice for us
Lovely food and lots of it. The staff were really friendly and all in all it was a lovely evening.
We haven't been to this restaurant for a while but realised just what we had been missing. Excellent food, efficient and friendly service. We will be back again very soon.
Very good food and great service. Would defo go again
Friendly staff and 10/10 wonderful food!! Decor a bit tired and Indian music a little loud but you’ve got to eat here. The authentic Nepalese dishes are to die for! Will definitely be returning.
great food and brilliant service. Booking a table online was very easy. The only let down was the toilet area. This could do with an update. Would definitely return.
Very busy but the food still arrived in good time was really really nice. Well worth a visit it was a good night out with friends
Really enjoyed our evening, the service was attentive though they did appear to be understaffed. All my party agreed the food was excellent, I very much enjoyed the madras and the prawn puri starter especially made for us. I would certainly recommend The Ganges.
I appreciated that it is the Christmas season and you were busy but the service we received last night was so bad. Three women sat next to a group of men who were just a complete embarrassment to themselves (I know that's not the restaurants fault but they should of been told that their language and behaviour was not acceptable). We took our own wine, after half an hour had to get up to find someone to ask for glasses. After another long wait had to get up to ask if we could order some food. Ordered some poppadoms etc which arrived, then had to ask for plates. All I can say is our food was nice but the experience was dyer and will not return.
Good service and good food. It was quiet, but our group of 5 was well looked after and the food was very good. An enjoyable evening.
Amazing! Food was so tasty and such a reasonable price! Cute setting too... and you can bring your own wine?! What’s not to love ?!
Sat at the table for 30 minutes and didn’t even get our drinks orderes taken. People were being served before us, no one even looked at us so we left without buying a thing
We booked a table for 7 tonight online and wasn’t informed that it wasn’t open! Was for a birthday meal so had to go somewhere else.
Came here on the 25th August 2018 booked a table for 5 easy to book online. Got there and the service was great from start to finsh and the food was great aswell 👍🏻 Would come here again great place.
Great little restaurant, beautifully layed out so that even if it was busy, you wouldn't feel like you were in a busy restaurant! Delicious food, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere! Favourite Indian restaurant in Plymouth!
Staff were really friendly, there was a Brittany atmosphere. And the lighting and decore was biliantlt fun. The food was lovely and tasty and super hot in places which was good. Overall it was a pleasurable experience and would nightly recommend anyone to visit
Delicious food. Very welcoming and willing to help out. Had such a wonderful time. The set menu was very generous in what it offered as well.
Despite being on the Taste site, it does not give the offer described even though I booked through the Taste website. The meal was good however.
Good food and friendly service, reasonably priced with good company. I would recommend the Ganges and Gurkha restaurant to friends and family and will be returning soon
First time visiting this lovely restaurant. Good food and service was very good. We will definitely be back to work our way through the menu.
Go with big stomachs we had eyes bigger than our bellies! Lovely atmosphere and awesome food. We ate on a Saturday around 1900 and it was fairly quiet. But Champions league was on.
I found this nice restaurant just behind Jurys Inn. Someof the features of this restaurant are: Excellent food Not oily at all Amaing taste Good choice of food Lovely staff
We were a large party of 16 and the staff could not have been more efficient. The food was delicious and we were not kept waiting. Thank you for a really good evening.
We had a lovely meal in nice surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a large capacity restaurant. We will definitely dine there again.
Lovely food.. Friendly staff..nicely spaced seating..if you like a medium curry , the medium was quite mild, the squid was cooked beautifully, and the peshwari forgive spelling...was the best I have ever tasted..a good experience.
Food was really nice, staff were attentive and it was very reasonably priced, all in all a good night out. Corkage was also only £2.
Interesting restaurant layout with side cubicles for more intimate parties; probably quite good to keep noise within a small area. Food and service was good. Enjoyable night had by all.
The Ganges and Ghurka is fabulous. A brilliant meal every time we go. What I particularly like, is the curry is not runny! I like sauce that you can dip your Naan bread into....but not runny! And that's what you get here.....and it is delicious. And lovely staff too. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
A quiet night - only the two of us in for the most part of the evening but service and food great. Definitely worth a visit.
nice staff, but food was a bit slow. 90 mins from arriving to the meal arriving, food was satisfactory no major complaints just a bit average
