We love it when we find a good Korean BBQ joint! They’re a little few and far between, especially in the hinterlands of West London, but Wimbledon and Wimbledon residents are lucky enough to have Gaya Korean Restaurant in their midst, serving up the classic East Asian grilled goodness from distinctive, suitably charcoal-coloured premises on Durham Road. Take a seat and go for broke with DIY barbecue from the tabletop grills, slurp a pot stew and call for more sides and sundries, this is Korean cuisine at its social best and a restaurant that deserves your reservation.
Gaya Korean Restaurant is beautiful before you’ve even walked through the front door. Indeed, the cool grey exterior on Durham Road in Wimbledon London is enough to draw you in, then the sounds and aromas from sizzling Korean-style tabletop BBQ will be enough to keep you happy for hours afterwards. Gaya Korean Restaurant prides itself on using the freshest produce possible, which is exactly how it should be with Korean food, a cuisine known across the world for being vibrant and absolutely booming with flavour.
There’s plenty on the menu at this London Korean restaurant that we’d recommend, particularly the Korean specialties like stir-fried octopus in a spicy sauce and the steamed beef with spring onion. Also an idea is to order a few appetisers and share them out tapas-style, or, for the most authentic Korean dining experience, get involved with the aforementioned sizzling BBQ – there’s an impressive selection of fresh meats to customise the whole thing exactly as you like. Gaya Korean Restaurant is one of our favourite spots in Wimbledon and we’re sure that locals feel the same. Reserve a table in advance to avoid any disappointment.
Very good food and good prices! Thank you very much
Great atmosphere and very good food! The service was very friendly. Definitely going to go back! Celebrated my friends birthday there and we had the best time!
Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly! We brought our own birthday cake and they helped store and serve which was much appreciated. Thank you Gaya!
