Ginger Bistro

The food was excellent. The staff were very good in particular with my two granddaughters aged 6 & 8. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. My one granddaughter said "we had 3 courses just like adults" the prices are very reasonable.

Nice pint in the Liver next door beforehand. Once again, delicious food at very reasonable prices, cooked beautifully and served well, by staff who love their job. The Beajolais was fruity and light but we moved on to a richer Merlot for our mains. We had a great laugh and a swift half & caught a bit of the band in Stamps Too only three minutes walk away. Ideal location. Super bistro. Keep on keepin on lads!

The food, service and atmosphere were lovely. The prawn starter and steak main were delicious. It was our first time here but we will definitely be back.

Food was good. Wine was good. Service was not as good as expected from other reviews. Main issue was no offer of drinks for about ten/fifteen minutes and only then as we ordered our starters/mains. Overall though a pleasant experience and not bad in regards to value for money. Worth a visit - at least its a bistro doing French style food to go with its French cafe decor.

Service and meal excellent. We all enjoyed a lovely evening which set us up for the New Year. We will be back in a couple of weeks.

Meal was delicious. Beef Wellington is - very good, highly recommended . All tables well decorated with fresh roses. Only one minus -a bit pricy.

Great evening, great food, great staff. If you haven't been you should go. The wine list was very limited but that is the only criticism I can think of.

Very good food, pleasant atmosphere and service was very good too. We were a large group but this did not effect the speed of food and the whole group enjoyed themselves.

Delicious food, distinctive and varied menu, friendly service, relaxed intimate atmosphere, good value. Excellent all round. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going here again.

Several days after I made the reservation and the day before we were due to go, I got a text telling me that they weren't open the following day. This was for a special occasion and meant I had to find an alternative venue at very short notice. I had emailed the restaurant a couple of months earlier with a query and they had not had the courtesy to reply. Very disappointed and won't be going to this restaurant. At the very least they could have offered a discount on a future booking.
