As the oldest Italian restaurant in Bristol, Giuseppe’s has a lot to be proud of. Established back in 1961 (originally known as Marco’s), this dining establishment has paved the way in the city’s local culinary scene and the restaurant continues to innovate even until this day. Using the best local produce and finest imported ingredients, Giuseppe’s team whip up dishes the same way they’ve been made throughout the generations, keeping everything as as authentic and traditional as possible. Open every day except Sunday, Giuseppe’s can be found on Baldwin Street right in the heart of the city centre, only steps from Bristol Bridge. Be sure to book ahead when planning to dine at this legendary Italian restaurant!
In my opinion the best Italian restaurant in Bristol. From the minute you enter to the time you leave the experience is there to be savoured.
The ambience of the restaurant is lwonderful. The food was excellent and the service was also excellent. We had a wonderful meal thank you very much
Great food, friendly staff and reasonably priced- will definitely be back for another taste of Italy soon! Steak was perfectly cooked and pizzas were dreamy. Thank you!
Great food, great service, great wine. Best Italian in bristol by far. I need to enter a minimum of 25 words to post this review.
Our first visit to this very popular restaurant. Definitely need to book if you want a table on a Saturday. Saw many people try to come in on the off chance and turned away as full. Also saw many of their regulars come back and warmly greeted by Giuseppe. All the staff were Italian and it was great atmosphere. Food was great and arrived very quickly. Our meal was £63 for 2 people (starter around £8 and main £15, rest was 4 drinks as no desserts). Great start to a fun night.
The staff at Giuseppe's were very attentive and couldn't have done more for our group of three 80-yearolds and myself. Thank you so much - we had a meal to remember before the Bristol Old Vic matinee show!
Great service , great food and fab red wine with a great atmosphere, what more could you want. You definitely want to give Giuseppe's a try you wont be disappointed.
Guiseppe's is hidden up some steep steps, off Baldwin Street in Bristol (although there is an easier way to get in from St Nicholas Street). It has been around for a long time, which tells you something about the standard of the food and service. There are always interesting and tasty fish specials and a good selection of wine. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The red wine glasses are amazing.
Always love going here. It is definitely a hidden gem! My friends and I went for a works night gathering and they are all very friendly and make a nice effort to make sure everything is ok with the food. All home made so if you don't like and ingredient you don't have to have it added.
Made a reservation here for myself and my wife for our 4th anniversary and the place was perfect. The food and wine was incredible, choosing a main from the fresh fish choices on the specials board. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, just everything made this a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.
