Food fantastic, great staff, excellent service Thank you We’ll be back

The service was slow. I ordered steak done medium and it was more near well done in parts. I also ordered peppercorn sauce which the waitress forgot which I then waited a good 5 minutes for it. Myhalthrough

We ordered a beef Sunday dinner, the beef was overcooked dry and chewy. The roast potatoes were hard and pale. You hardly got any veg and the Yorkshire puddings tasted like they had been reheated and dry. Really disappointed as I’ve been many times before and it’s normally great

Very good. Rather noisy towards end of meal as we were close to another table of five or six so difficulty hearing my friend. Not much room between table therefore not much room for waitress having to squeeze between tables in order to take order and serve food. Nice food and will definitely come again.

We felt welcome and our reservation considered. We received courteous friendly service throughout. Very glad about availability of small portions. Nice food. We investigated new 'drinks' bar , dogs welcome. Fab. Big thumb up !

What an absolute treasure. The best pub restaurant food I have had for several years served with flare and care. Portions are definitely fit for a hungry Yorkshire man/woman. The quality of the produce is second to no with local produce at the forefront. So if you are in the area grab a cab and enjoy

We tried the golden fleece for the first time last night and I think it's safe to say we will be going back again. The food was amazing and very fresh. Everyone was catered for perfectly. We had 2 children with us who loved the food alot and the children portions are massive. Our party had the fish, liver, lasagna, pasta and steaks and we opted for the smaller size and boy they were huge and very filling still. Great value and a lovely inviting pub and the staff were lovely as well. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely food. It's a great idea to have small or large portions of the mains. By opting for small portions we were able to manage a pudding.

Enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. Very accommodating of a wheelchair guest.

Food was delicious, but poor service. Waited a very long time for drinks and plates to be cleared.

Excellent value for money. Which included a bottle of wine. I like white but my friend likes red, sothey gave us 2 glasses of red & 2 glasses of white. Thanks.

Disappointed, after receiving glowing recommendations. We went for Sunday roast and it was poor. There was plenty of meat however all the roast potatoes were really hard, the Yorkshire was tasteless and dry and there wasn’t enough veg. We found the decor to be modern and clean yet lacking any real style. It felt like it was a place trying to be something it wasn’t.

One of our favourite eating places. Due to our circumstances we hadn’t been for a while. Speaking to a few people I got the impression it wasn’t having a good time particularly with service. We had a lovely evening food fab service fab. Only one comment. Dessert. Husband had apple pie and custard. It was minuscule and drizzled with custard. I am correct with drizzled. For £5.50. Very disappointing. Other desserts were fine and exactly what it said on the tin. Lovely. Definitely go back.
