We hadn’t been to this restaurant before but we will definitely be returning. Food and service was amazing!!

Beautiful tasty food, attentive staff and reasonable price, can’t understand why this place was not full. Just one thing “get rid of the tv” it’s distracting, people should go out and talk.

Took our children (9 & 5) here on Father’s Day. Restaurant was very busy so the waiting times were a little long, but everything else was perfect. Beginner’s chopsticks for kids - didn’t know they existed 🙂. We get takeaway deliveries from here a lot so already knew the food was good.

Lots of choice on the menu with some unusual dishes

First visit to the Gonbay, it was my dad’s birthday so we booked a table for four. We chose the banquet at a reasonable £22 per head, food was delicious! It was hot, fresh and very tasty. Service was great too, the restaurant brought out a little cake with a fizzing candle in it for my dad, really nice touch. Would definitely recommend. We will for sure be going back there.

Booked a table to celebrate husbands birthday. Decor new and welcoming. The food was superb and the service was great . Will definately be going back.

A very good meal presented nicely and very tasty. We all enjoyed our meal and will return soon to try something else on the menu

Staff were really friendly. Food was delicious and hot. We had a banquet and was worth every penny. Cake and firework were presented to our party because of a birthday. Definitely will be going back.

The food was lovely was lovely. The service was the worse I seen at any restaurant was just to slow to serve people and the restaurant wasn't even half full.

The Gonbay is a fantastic place to eat great atmosphere great food i would tell all my friends try it and you would see for yourself

Brilliant food and service a wonderful atmosphere full of laughter also a great selection of wines and spirits nothing was a problem for the friendly staff and hot towels to finish

The food and staff were excellent. There was the issue of some of the tables being too close together which prevented a private conversation being carried out as we could here everything that was being said on one of the adjoining tables.
