Goodman Mayfair

Great service with very knowledgable informative staff. Excellent wine selection. All 4 of us had fillet steaks & they were top class, as were the side dishes; desserts were average at best however. Better puddings would have made Goodmans a masterclass.

The most amazing meat selection in London, expertly explained and cooked. A lovely atmosphere and my favourite Goodman's experience so far. Decor doesn't quite live up to the rest of the experience.

Service and food fantastic. The best chataubriand we have ever had! Very cozy banquets and good wine list. I will be back definitely soon! Enjoy

Food was incredible... can't really fault anything. Steak was the best I've had in london. Service was amazing and we had good advice on what steak to choose, cut and size wise. Yes slightly pricey but definitely worth it. I would recommend.

This is an Excellent restaurant, beautiful steak, would definitely recommend this place, great service and friendly staff. Will be certainly coming back at some point.

Excellent food.exemplary service which coped despied 2 runners scampering without paying- a perfect blend of attention and friendliness without obsequiousmess. Steaks were superb but so too was the fish dishes.

Very friendly staff, well cooked steak and a good wine list. Good central location for the pleasantly dark restaurant. The cost is as expected for an upper end Mayfair establishment.

It was good however the steak was not as tender as the last time we enjoyed a dinner there - some sinews in the sirloin on the bone, making it difficult to cut. The waiter and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming although the waiter was not as knowledgable as the last one we had in directing us to the perfect steak. There was only one blackboard available for us to choose our steak from at the table and unfortunately a table of 8 was just ahead of us deliberating their choice which took a while.

Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Had a great evening - good steak, good wine, and very attentive waiting staff. Ate too much, so now I need to go to sleep!

A superb steak in a fantastic restaurant with a friendly and cozy atmosphere. As with all Goodman branches the selection of steaks and the advice available is beyond compare.

This was our first time dining at Goodmans and definatley won't be our last,usually we're frequenters of the Hawksmoor restaurants as big lovers of steaks but our waitress( whose name I'm gutted to say I can't recall) for the night at Goodmans was as outstanding as the meal (which is where Hawksmoor have dropped the ball)Our table was allowed plenty of time to choose each dish and she was extremely confident with giving advice when asked what her choice would be and explaining all the cuts and different flavours of meat.We were also given sufficient enough time in between each course to enjoy our food rather than feeling rushed.My only criticism would be their not very strong on there choice of starters and we had to stand at the door while waiting for our table instead of making sure we could of sat at the bar as we were a party of five.

Amazing food a simple and easy to follow menu, knowledgable waitress when asked any questions who provided excellence service. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Though we arrived late after theatre we were warmly welcomed The waitress was very nice and service was excellent Food was great Price as expected Generally we enjoyed my wife and I the dinner

Excellent food and service as usual! Had a lovely time, steaks and sides all of high quality. The service and attention from the waitress was very good, with the attention being just at the right level - something that marks out Goodmans as somewhere special to eat.

Always a great meal, the steak was perfectly cooked and the service was excellent! Probably the best steaks in London, if not the United Kingdom.

Have eaten here many times. Late lunch today. Filet excellent. My wife's sirloin less so - not much flavour. Service not quite attentive enough. Still like Goodman a lot and favour this original Mayfair location.

Best steaks and Mac & cheese ever. Good for family outtings at lunch time. Staff is helpful and cheerful. We go there a number of times a year...

The food was great! The ambiance was relaxed and friendly. Celebrated a birthday and the effort on the dessert was appreciated! We will definitely be returning again!

Very disappointing. Ordered a steak off of the specials board only for it to be undercooked and seemingly not rested (lots of blood on plate). Shame as a special occasion which was ultimately ruined

Good steack. Perfect advises and large selection of wines. Just perfect for a dinner with friends. Prices are high but in line with the quality.

All started well until our starter went missing! So it ended up being a long meal. Was made up by free starters for their mistake

Amazing food, the best steak in W1! Prawn tempura and smoked salmon to die for! Amazing, must try! A delicious way to spend a lunchtime!

Food was good and our waiter (lovely girl) was trying very hard to keep everyone in her area happy, but the other staff was awful the guy that received us his attitude was very poor which made the experience a bit of a let down. I dont think we would be back at this restaurant.

My female server was excellent!!! The steaks were properly prepared and were very good. But the service was even better than the food. Go figure???

They have accommodated every needs we requested, very flexible and superb customer serviced. Food was excellent, cannot find any faults. Lovely! We definitely go back again. Thank you.

Rib-eye was very good. The carpaccio was a bit lost behind what seemed to be slightly too much citrus and pepper. The parmesan slices used on the carpaccio and roccet salad was quite dry and a bot too chewy for my taste - got the feeling that the slices had been laying cut in the kitchen too long. Red Wine recommended by staff was very good

Excellent steak accompanied with a very easy to drink Malbec. Staff were helpful and friendly. Tip try and save room for the Crème brûlée amazing!

Beef has no flavor and steak temperature poor. Expensive for the quality of food served. Disappointing and certainly not worth the visit. restaurant also seeems not very tidy and clean.

Never disappointed. There service is excellent and the quality of the meat is extraordinary. I've been here many times and each time the pleasure is great.

Fantastic experience - brilliant staff and fantastic food, all served in a relaxed and comfortable restaurant. Couldn't recommend it any higher ! The service was great. The fillet was not nice, if I had not been with a client, I would have sent it back. I was very disappointed about the chewy fillet steak.
