What a lovely surprise! We just moved to Manchester and I was looking for somewhere a bit special to take my husband for his birthday. We were not disappointed. It is set in a gorgeous old building and has welcoming staff at the entrance who took our coats. You're then directed upstairs to the beautiful dining room. The wait staff were very professional and attentive. Everything on the menu looks delicious and very reasonably priced for what you get. It was presented beautifully and was equally beautiful to eat. You never know when you haven't been somewhere before and when it hasn't been recommended by anyone (apart from TripAdvisor!) but I was so so pleased with my choice of venue for this special occasion dinner. We'll definitely be going back.
Great service food excellent will definitely go again cocktails where very nice
Grand Pacific in Manchester has to be seen to fully comprehend just how stylish it is. With ceiling to floor windows, bespoke light fixtures, a central bar and beautiful furniture, dining here is a throwback to a bygone era, and we honestly can’t get enough. Then, of course, there’s the menu. For lunch, you’ll find Asian-spiced duck cottage pie with crackling and pickled onion; the Grand Pacific beef burger with wasabi creme fraiche, pickled veg, kimchi and fresh cut chips as well as the flavoursome lamb massaman roti served with mint yoghurt and fresh cut chips. Tempted by this Spinningfields restaurant yet? You should be.
For dinner at Grand Pacific, it all kicks off with the starters. We love the satay chicken skewers smothered in a spicy peanut sauce; duck gyoza with sweet potato, miso and hoisin and the truffled goat’s cheese with avocado mousse. For the main event, we recommend the pot-roasted prawns and mussels with udon noodles in a lobster and coconut broth; sambal salmon served with pineapple, coconut and cucumber and the 28 day-aged ribeye steak that comes with kimchi, wasabi creme fraiche and grilled heart of palm. With so much on offer, including high tea and some very enticing cocktails, you best be making a reservation at Grand Pacific Manchester as soon as possible. Located in Spinningfields at Spring Gardens, you certainly won’t be disappointed at this Asian restaurant.
