We can’t think of too many things more pleasing than a well-stocked bar combined with tapas, which is exactly what you’ll find at Hampsons. This is a small and wonderfully cosy haunt on Coronation Road in Crosby and it specialises in small plates, wines, beers, whiskeys, gins and cocktails. The food menu is well-priced and the beautifully-presented food looks almost as good as it tastes. Expect dishes ranging from flash-fried steak and mushroom crostini to scouse with beetroot puree and chunks – this is Liverpool, after all. Hampsons is a relatively new kid on the Crosby block but it’s causing quite the buzz – best to make a reservation in advance.
