Holdi is exquisitely Indian and is without doubt one of the best Indian restaurants in the Northwich area. Folk who know about curry as well as folk who just like to spice things up, all flock to Holdi’s spot on Manchester Road in Lostock Gralam because they know there’s a guarantee of quality and lively flavour. On the menu you’ll find the golden Indian oldies that are well-loved up and down the UK, as well as plenty of specialities to get you excited – lots involve seafood, the malabar lobster being our pick of the bunch. Holdi Northwich is the real deal and it’s popular, so best to reserve a table in advance.
Still the best in the area. You cannot fault the service, the food is great and always generous portions. If there is something you fancy that's not on the menu, it's never a problem for the kitchen to adjust one of the many dishes. Heartily recommended.
Lovely meal, great helpful and attentive staff and fab food. Onion bahgees were the best we’ve ever had. The staff made helpful suggestions as to our food choices which all worked out. Will be back.
Top quality food; top quality service and a very surprisingly cheap bill. I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Indian as this one is special
Excellent food, atmosphere and staff. A warm welcome when you arrive and excellent service though out. The food is very taste and the naan bread is the best Ive had.
Excellent service and atmosphere, but above all excellent food, which is the most important thing. The restaurant has a great feeling and is comfortable and pleasant, the atmosphere is laid back and the staff are very professional and friendly. The future discount vouchers are an excellent idea. Have been twice now and no complaints whatsoever. would thoroughly recommend to anyone! I've given an average rating for noise as it is not mute, but who wants a deadly quite restaurant with no atmosphere? - at the same time its a comfortable noise level - been to other's nearby where the acoustics are so bad with everyone 'packed in like sardines' and you can't hear yourself think- this is the right balance.
I cannot agree with reviews that the noise levels are too high. the music nights are lovely, the background songs when there are no special events on are still not intrusive and very pleasant. tried the Kalyia for the first time this evening and I can recommend it to those who like a bit of heat. still a favourite.
Absolutely brilliant. The Holdi in Woolton could learn a lot from this one which is just how a great restaurant should be. Waiting staff made us feel special, food blindingly good and at last, a dessert option which is sadly lacking in my local Indian restaurants in Middlewich. Well worth the drive out; we'll be back soon.
I liked the fact our party was sat at a round table so we could chat easily. The good was excellent and the service was very friendly and attentive. We were having such a good time we didn't realise we were the only ones left in the restaurant!
This was our fourth visit but the service was disappointingly poor. After 1 and a half hours all we had were some popadums. We had to wait another half hour after the starter for the main course after alerting 3 different waiting staff. The manager was very sympathetic but there were lots of staff wandering around who clearly did not notice we had no food for lengthy periods.I believe they were a chef down and we were given a free bottle of wine. Despite this poor service the food is excellent and we would consider returning.
great food good service would recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys a curry experience. we have now booked for new years eve and are going to the PATELVIS evening in december really enjoyed our visit
