Food was lovely as always, afternoon tea is always amazing and a great present for someone eg mum or friends birthday, but when we went took about an hour and when we asked why it was taking so long they said they had a big party and needed to serve them before us.

Views are amazing! Staff are very friendly. Only downside, my 9yr old daughter had the fish goujons from the kids menu and found 6 massive fish bones in them, not ideal on a kids menu when younger diners could easily have choked. Food though, apart from the bones, was delicious

Unique and yummy afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. Was busy and pretty noisy, understandably. Great views of the river from the back of the venue. Worth booking a table in advance and requesting that.

This is my 5th visit, took family members for their first visit and they loved it! As always amazing service and the afternoon tea was to die for! Had fabulous seats overlooking the river and the views are spectacular. Look forward to our next visit.

Food was ok but quite greasy and it was very loud and rowdy unfortunately. Couldn’t just sit and relax

Average after noon tea, not a patch on other places. Waited a long time for food and then didn't have any choice on sandwiches, location and view excellent.

The sandwiches were soldier like and parts stale. and very small portioned compared to other places. Little choice and desserts were very basic. Staff were very pleasant.

the service was very poor, far too slow, and I felt even though we had booked a table for 7 we were pushed into a booth type table suitable for 5 persons (2 on one side and 3 on the other) and not in the main room which I had hoped for with having 3 under 14s with us

Lovely staff, but freezing colds no heating . Food ok but old salad and our desert sticky toffee pudding was not hot. Dissapointed and will not go back, shame because it’s a great location and lovely old pub but just not good enough.

We had a good time. H (my partner) has Alzheimer’s (with fits) and we’re making memories today was a good one. Thanks also for helping us leave quickly as H was in the beginning of a big fit. Bonus was a boat coming in.

Lovely decor, slow service but they were training new staff on the day we went. Food nice but not amazing! Have been for afternoon tea which was much nicer than the normal meals.

How do you do looked inviting from the outside with a well presented foyer but the rest of the building was in poor state of repair, in need of some TLC, dusty areas, everywhere in need of a coat of paint and in toilet area skirting boards missing and builders equipment everywhere. We waited almost an hour for our meals and the Sunday lunch was delicious but the fish and chips poor at best. They did reduce our bill by 10% for our wait but definitely would not return or recommend to friends or family.

Really nice cocktails and beautiful view. Very aesthetically pleasing afternoon tea including miniature bottles of pink lemonade, brownies, swirly lollies etc as well as scones and sandwiches. Food was lovely and fresh. Would definitely recommend for something different to do.

The food was nice, but not amazing. Limited menu with 3 items unavailable. Server was very pleasant and helpful. No Bacardi available at the bar. Also, on second visit to the bar no one was serving. Waited 5 minutes and gave up. Returned to bar later on and got served.

We all had a lovely time at How Do You Do, this restaurant has such a nice atmosphere and I highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I requested a table with a view over the fish quay which we were given, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. All five of us, three adults and two children enjoyed the Mad Hatters Tea Party with a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes, cocktails/mocktails and unlimited tea and coffee. The only thing we were disappointed with was the size of portions, they were very small and thankfully we ordered a couple of portions of chips as an extra, which helped to fill the gap. However, we will definitely be back.

We attended on a Sunday for Sunday lunch. The choice of food was good and there were 4 vegetarian options which was also good. The restaurant was busy and it was also noisy. Décor great. Staff friendly but not overly attentive.

Very overpriced for very very very little food. We had tasteless sandwiches, a couple of sweets and a bite size cake each. Definitely not worth the money

Great service, great food, & great views, what more could anyone ask for? Although it wasn’t on the menu & having eaten superb nut roast here before, the chef managed to rustle up some for me. That’s what I call service.

We didn't stay to eat as the menu on offer was nothing like the menu on their website. Very disappointed as it was a birthday meal out.

Food was excellent, especially the sticky toffee pudding which is the best I have had in a long time. I would have given this a 6 but was disappointed by the lack of variety of the menu when we arrived. There was no pan fried chicken on the main menu or rice pudding on the puddings as shown on the website menu. Service was also a little slow, we waited 45 minutes for our main course but I think that was due to the restaurant being so busy. Would definitely go back to this restaurant.
