Hugo’s Queen’s Park is a quirky and charming eatery, right in the heart of London, opposite Paddington Old Cemetery. With a keen focus on serving dishes and drinks that you don’t see everyday, you can expect to find real ales from Wales, Aspalls cider from Suffolks, unusual wine sourced from around the world and organic juices from an organic farm in Norfolk… and that’s all before we get to the food. Serving all-day brunch, lunch and dinner, the dishes are quintessentially British with a Hugo’s twist. Meaning, you’ll find the Hugo’s sea and land platter brimming with cold meats, smoked salmon, calamari and more; whole tiger prawns cooked with garlic and peppers and plenty more besides. With a relaxed terrace and cosy dining room, we can’t recommend Hugo’s London on Lonsdale Road more!
Main course Food was excellent especially the veg butternut squash option and the fish. And quinoa pomegranate starter was good. House white wine was good and good price and there is good local craft beer which is well priced. Staff were friendly and accomodating as we were a group of 4 and 1 arrived a bit late.
Very convivial ambiance. Cheap beer but sadly no Aspalls cider. Food competitively priced and a good roast dinner served with a different take on 'gravy' Staff very accommodating giving good service. Would recommend Sarah
