Pizza lovely - I ate it all, which isn't always the case! Probably not enough staff on for a really busy Saturday evening - only one person waiting tables.

I been at the Guscio many times, I live 5min away. Good food, the pizza is great, friendly atmosphere at reasonable price. What more would you ask?

Cosy restaurant with friendly owners and quick service. Canneloni and quattro stageoni were delicious. Will definitely be heading back for more in the near future! :)

A lovely, cosy, authentic Italian restaurant, serving huge, generously topped pizzas and good wine. The pane carassau' is delicious; so too was the melanzane parmigiana.

Very nice atmosphere, great portions, good flavour, friendly staff.. space a bit tight so perhaps seating might be challenging for those of generous girth. Cheers

Food was fantastic. Had vegetable soup and Baratta to start. Homemade bread was delicious. Lasagne and meatballs for main. Really tasty. Very attentive service. Just a shame there weren’t more people in there. A great find in Hackney that’s reasonably priced with authentic food

Great Italian food and friendly ambience. Swordfish eaters were highly satisfied by their meal. My pizza was very hot, but that's what I expected with jalapeño peppers.

Enjoyed a great three course meal here. I'm vegetarian and it's nice to have such a selection of dishes to choose from, plus loved the specialities such as Canolo siciliano. Portion sizes were very generous and it was great value for money.

This is a great neighbourhood restaurant with excellent Sardinian food. It is very small, however, so not suitable for large parties. Pizzas & pasta are fabulous.

I loved the Burrata as a starter, which was good value for money. The pizza was also great pizza, super thin crust and fresh toppings! Goes well with the Italian ale.

I love Il Guscio. The food is excellent and it's a lovely cheerful atmosphere. Just had the best evening there with a bunch of old friends. I go back whenever I'm in Clapton.

Great food and atmosphere. It is a place. Seating was just a bit too tight for us, though. Not much space to stretch the legs.

Went to Il Guscio for my partner's birthday - we had booked for 6 but turned up for 8 and staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to find us seats and space. Food was great as ever, staff very friendly, and helpful presenting birthday cake at the end. Lovely dinner.

Great atmosphere. It's a shame that it's quite so cramped but this allows more people to enjoy it. We've been quite a few times, on this occasion the service was a little slow but we could easily forgive this as the food was excellent.

Always an enjoyable experience at Il Guscio. Check the Sardinian specials on the chalk board. The lobster and crab ravioli are as worthy of a Michelin star.

The food was fantastic, but was a bit surprised to be accommodated in the basement area with the suggestion we book earlier next time (I booked a few months ago?' We did also ask if there was any chance that the battery could be changed in the smoke detector as it kept beeping. The staff were lovely though and so was the food.

We have eaten here many times and each time we have always felt very welcomed and personable. The meal overall was very good but not outstanding, because we had one pizza with ham in (We are vegetarian). The lasagna was cold in the middle, despite being told it "very hot" we then saw them put it in the microwave and given the same plate again, having been told we would get a new dish. However the dessert was outstanding and so was most if not all of the main course and starter.

Unsurprisingly great as ever - it was my anniversary and we asked for a specific table which we got, and were given a complimentary limoncello at the end.

Always great food and service at Il Guscio. Despite being very busy with a Birthday table we were served quickly and efficiently. It goes without saying that the food was excellent. We had the rich and spicy Moscardini to start and the delicious Lobster and Crab ravioli for main. The complimentary limoncello rounded of a fine meal.
