The food was delicious and the waiter very friendly, we just felt the service was a bit slow. Also, the tables around us received bread and oil as a nibble and we didn't - just an observation!!!

Every aspect of our visit was excellent. We were greeted warmly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is conducive to a special occasion, but informal and friendly. The choices on the early evening set menu, which is excellent value at £10 for two courses, were varied and all dishes chosen were delicious.

The food was fabulous and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We went on a Groupon voucher but will definitely be going back again for the a la carte menu.

As always the food was superb. Service a little slower than usual but only because only a couple of staff working. We didn't mind this as the staff member is fantastic but heard another table grumbling about this. It's a small restaurant and I am sure must be very hard to gauge how many walk in customers will attend and therefore understandably they have to look at running costs as the quality of food is superb. Thoroughly enjoyed and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you team

Lovely evening here yet again. Such great food. Staff are delightful and really can't do enough. All requests are met with a smile and so you feel very comfortable asking. Really can't recommended dining here if you have not been before. It's a definite place you will return to over and over

What a really wonderful restaurant. Great menu and the food was absolutely sublime. Different to the usual Italian restaurants I’ve been to. The food was simple but utterly delicious. The service was impeccable. Everyone was really friendly. I certainly will come here again.

It was a lovely dining experience at Impasto. The staff serving us was extremely polite, friendly and attentive. The Sunday Roast was amazing and affordable. Definitely worth a trip down!

Had to wait quite a while to be served but the waiters were nice. The food was ok, not too many choices though. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant looks nice in the dining area. The only real downside I found to be the cleanliness around toilet and kitchen area.

Relaxed dining with friendly attentive staff. With no rushing. We have dined here a few times and food is well presented and piping hot each time. Cannot fault them.

The food here is always excellent and they now have a license (whilst still offering the BYO option) which means you don't have to take your own if you don't want to. Service is friendly and prompt and the food is freshly prepared, I recommend it.

This was our second visit and it was as fantastic as the first. It’s great value and even our picky parents enjoyed it as well!

Great place, good food. Portions sizable and leave you with that cosy full up feeling. Hope the application for a bar license does not spoil the homely atmosphere.

Food was superb, we ate the olive starter along with the deep-fried polenta, followed by the Salmon/ Seafood Spaghetti and a Beetroot & Goats cheese Pizza. Great flavours and would recommend the food. Unfortunately the service was poor. Slow and not very attentive. Arrived at 18:30 and had to wait over 30 mins for our starters to be served (olives and deep fried polenta sticks). We asked for the dessert menu and were forgotten about, in the end we got the attention of the waiting staff, asked for the bill and left. Shame really as to food is excellent. Other reviews are good. I guess this was an off night...

Impasto is a small fabulous restaurant on the outskirts of Nottingham with on street parking - metered. Excellent service and the menu was varied. Bring your own bottle is a fabulous touch. Will be back for Xmas.

Amazing food, I enjoyed every morsel. The staff were really lovely, such a nice atmosphere. Would recommend the beef carpaccio starter and the pork with fennel for main. Outstanding.

They were very nice guys waiting on the table but it seemed to lack anyone in charge - no real presence or atmosphere and all seemed a bit haphazard and disorganised. The groupon menu was clearly marked as a 'voucher' menu and was obviously different to the regular menu - in my view the value of groupon is that you get to experience the restaurant as it is normally, not as a lesser value deal. That said the meal was nice, plenty to eat and service friendly if a little chaotic. The open kitchen area by the loos was really messy. Some way to go before they really have this place sorted but we had a very nice time

Really lovely dining experience... a chilled vibe... great food. The staff are friendly and didn't feel rushed which is refreshing . Good choice of menu aswell. Definitely will return
