Great food and service enjoyed the starters and main course

Our first visit, recommended by two Asian colleagues. Wonderful food, flavours of Indian cuisine that we'd not encountered before. Wonderful large restaurant space- only slight downside was that there was a wedding reception party next door and the music was a bit loud at times! The waiters assured us that didnt happen all the time. Definitely want to go back...soon!

Service was poor and the lighting was not working properly. Just a one off but food was absolutely amazing!

I chose Korma and it didn’t taste like korma or have any coconut flavour, but everything else was spot on, really tasty.

The food was delicious but the service was very sporadic. Our main courses all arrived at different times so that by the time my husband’s lamb rogan josh arrived his rice was cold, and by the time our pashweeree nan arrived he’d finished most of his curry! Also they completely forgot about my brother-in-law’s chocolate pudding and ice cream but billed us for it. When we pointed this out to the manager he took it off the bill and gave him a free dessert but by then he no longer wanted it! The food however was very tasty and I may well go back again to give it a second chance.

Was completely let down by the service and delivery of food. Food was good however everything took so long that the whole mood was ruined. We had to chase and ask about our food plenty of times. Response was sorry we know and nothing else. Only right at the very end one of young new waiter said we are heavily short staffed, now if they had said that from the start we would be ok. 3 naans came after all the food had finished and 2 of the ordered dishes didn't even turn up. Very disappointed regular customer.

We have been here a few time , but this time it was not as good the lamb chops were not nice at all, the service was average a bit slow, however the paneer dish and fish szechuan were both really good

Food used to be very nice before but this time was bit disappointing. Just the soup was nice and rest of the Chinese dishes almost have the same taste. Too salty. The chicken karahi was the worst no flavour at all. Need to improve the flavour please.

This is the first time we went to Imperial after hearing good feedback from friends. We ordered a few starters, which were delicious and authentic taste like restaurants in India. Very spacious restaurant, good ambience, courteous staff, reasonable price. What more do we need? Highly recommended

This restaurant always provide the best of Indian food. I know as I'm from Kolkata. Try the Tandoori lamb chops. but start with the puchkas.

Good food and good value. The Indian dishes are hotter than the average so be careful what you order, even the Prawn Biriani was too spicy for one of our party. Our visit was slightly spoiled because it was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant.

Freshly cooked Asian food with a wide choice of regional dishes. The wine was excellent and the seating comfortable. Obviously a hit with the local Asian community.

The Imperial Lounge is our favourite Indian restaurant in Croydon. Staff are always friendly, efficient and happy to make suggestions if you are not familiar with the food. The food itself is delicious and portion sizes generous. We can not fault it at all.

Went to visit there on Father’s Day ! Very dissatisfied with the poor service. Understand it was a Father’s Day busy day... but one hour waiting for starters & drinks! Can’t believe it!food also not too good ...ok portion also small not value for money! Won’t recommend to visit there !

One particular member of servicing staff was very rude exhibiting frustration and anger whilst serving me and my family. Honestlt i am very apalled by his behaviour. Very slow service

we had very good experience , we booked table for 12 everything went perfectly fine,though service was bit slow, but we all enjoyed the food especially the starters .I think they specialise more in oriental dishes but the indians were tasty too. I do recomend this place for family and small get togethers .

Food was fab as always so well done and keep up the good work. However, the service was a slow and quite a wait to get the food & deserts. Perhaps an extra staff was needed today given the Valentine day as it was bit busy at lunch time.

great ambiance and great food.. waitering and service was the let down.. the manager seemed very rude and abrupt and the waiters did not know what theywere doing. on one occasion we asked for a margarita and the waiter asked back.. "whats wrong with the one you have"..
