Imperial Restaurant & Lounge Bar OLD

Very rude waitress, no clue on customer service! Asked a guy clearing who was clearing our table for drinks, he said sorry i cant take drink orders? I will send a waitress over waited over 15 minutes, then she came over after complaining her answer was oh well he never told me!!

Lovely dinning room with stylish decor. Wide menu choice. Super tasty, freshly prepared food using the best ingredients. Friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful place for all occasions.

Service is excellent food is brilliant very tasty. I will give 5 stars and i have recommended to my friends group .it was fantastic experience

Seems like the chef has changed. The quality of food has degraded drastically. I literally ended up eating raw chicken today. The food was too much oily. It was my favourite restaurant in Croydon but not anymore now.

Food the ambience was excellent. However. Dispite having few staff we had to wait for service and they either got the thing twice (which we did not have to pay for it) or did not get served. We asked three different people for black coffee each time we were told it is coming. The whole table got served except the black coffee. When asked the order taker he said we did not ordered it so why the other three said it is coming.... My friend wanted to know about hiring out the venue for function and she was told again by the same person that the manager will come and see you. And yet he did not she had to go and ask at the receiption....so lots of talk but no action.

The staff are nice and polite. Only thing is the length of time food takes to reach the table. More of Indian than both Indian and chinese

Amazing ambience and good food. Service can be slow at times. Would surely recommend anyone who wants to have authentic Indian food with a modern twist.

The food and the ambience at Imperial restaurant is of a very high standard. Service levels are good and the staff are very attentive. Imperial is probably the best Indian restaurant in Croydon.

excellent food. Spacious surroundings so even though the place was full it didnt feel like it was. Service is attentive. I would recommend a visit.

We enjoyed coming to imperial.. The food is awesome slightly spicy but eveey one has diffeeent taste.. The staff are friendly.. Have the prawns as they are mouth watering..

Staff were very helpful and attentive. The menu caters for all tastes. An enjoyable evening which I am sure we will repeat as we all enjoyed the food and the experience.

Very child friendly - children aged 2 and 4 enjoyed their chicken and rice dish. Excellent variety of starters and main - tasty, slightly spices, but finger Licking good. Staff were polite, very quick on service and food was served hot.

The place has a good atmosphere and the general ambiance is pleasant. The food I found is good tasty and well presented. The place when busy can be a bit noisy but other times it is fine. Overall a pleasant and memorable experience. Intent to visit again.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the food is excellent. Service was good - you were allowed to take your time. The cocktails could have been better.

It was incredibly noisy and we have had to shout to each other across the table. Indian food is quite good but rather noisy environment.

The best restaurant in South London so far. Great ambience, very authentic food, excellent professional service by staff, convenient location and parking facilities, very impressedh. Will definitely return soon.

Lamb chops which they call house speciality were mildly warm. V poorly done. Would say have had much better chops in commercial St. Chilli chicken was good. Veg platter was v average for the price. No freshly squeeze juice available. Overall with a little.more effort the food can be made really good.

A nice venue but understaffed for the people there so waiting for a long time. Food really not that great and was expecting much better, or maybe we ordered the wrong things. I wouldn't go again other than if it was a mutually convenient place to meet friends. Staff there were very nice but unfortunate tha they seemed to be struggling to cater for the crowd.

This is a new restaurant that has opened with fantastic ambience and decor, a great feel to the decor and good tasty food. I have been here a few times as a result, however, i have noticed a significant decrease in the level of service given. The previous visit, was me and 3 friends. We had all ordered our drinks at the same time, however, three drinks were delivered to the table. After 10 minutes i had flagged the waiter twice and then was i given my drink. Twenty minutes after this, another waiter came to the table to actually give me the missing drink, therefore, had i had waited, i would have been waiting 30 minutes after the first round of drinks were served to the table for mine. Secondly, the starters were brought to our table and we were missing one. Again i flagged the waiter twice, and only then did he realise a starter was missing and brought it to the table. By this time, we had all finished out starters and one guest was made to eat her's on her own. They seem to be over capacity and not many staff who know what they are doing or have the ability to cope with the turnaround, and this makes it not so good dining. The drinks should be delivered to the table at the same time as should the food, not in pieces. If this level of service continues, then i would have to look for alternatives unfortunately. It is a shame as Imperial has a lot of potential.

Awesome food, great atmosphere. Attentive service as always. Definitely my favourite restaurant at the moment. The cocktails are delicious and inventive. The food is not your standard Indian restaurant, the flavours are beautiful and presentation impeccable.

Did not confirm by reservation. In fact did not have it at all. Service is SLOW. Expect to wait up to an hour between courses!

1- Great food 2-Great Atmosphere However I do feel that the system lacks some great service. for Example the ordering of food and Drink we waited 30 mins for someone to come over to ask for our order. in the end we ended up asking to order drinks and the starters. however once we ordered it. the food came within a reasonable time.

Great food, portion sizes big so we took leftovers home with us. It's prices but quality very good, service was a bit random, some very good staff and some not so good, but overall a lovely experience

Great experience and service. Will recommend to friends and family. Food was great too! The bar and music was great. Waiters were very helpful and was a great environment for a meal.

Great restaurant fantastic food, fresh and tasty with exotic flavours. Make sure you are hungry before you go, portion sizes are good. Attentive waiting staff and reasonably priced.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was delicious and so many varieties with generous portions. The order was taken and served with attention to detail. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Great food, service was a bit slow, and found one of our main courses a bit salty but otherwise the food was tasty especially the starters the menu had a really good choice of indian and indo chinese

Excellent food and service. Reminded me of American Chopsuey what I ate in India. Chicken lollipop was yummy. Good ambience and fabulous drinks. Definitely recommend.
