Indian Lounge - York

We visit whenever we are in York and, as always, we recieved excellent food, excellent service and a warm friendly welcome. Looking forward to our next visit.

booked in and arrived with the guy knowing my name.we sat down and got served straight away popadoms n chutney tray .wine nice indian lager good and meals came ..felt a little rushed to finish n eat up but was ok people being turned at the door .got full at abt half 8 ..will visit again.

Amazing food, and very accommodating as I chose a dish which was a slight variation to those listed on the menu. Good service and very reasonably priced for a city centre restaurant. Highly recommended

Food was good. Service was good. Restaurant was clean and well presented. Prices seem to be creeping up a little. Starter prices especially a little higher than some other local restaurants?

Lovely food but we did feel watched over and like we were being pushed out. Average at best but okay if you want a quick curry after a booze day. When visiting york we will research indians

When we arrived our table was waiting, however, the next table was quite loud. I felt a little rushed because it was full. The food was good and value for money.

Brilliant food. Very helpful pleasant staff. Was spoiled for choice - lots of vegetarian options and chef willing to meet special request. Would definitely return.

Wonderful food and exemplary service. Make a point of going to India Lounge every time we visit York. Love this restaurant and would highly recommend.

Delicious food served hot and prompt as always. Staff are always friendly and attentative. We would not consider anywhere else when we are in York.

The food and service were good as always. Only let down is that I was very clear I did NOT want a table in the window and yet that is where they sat us

I have visited Indian lounge several times in the past where the service, staff and food has been of an excellent standard. However my visit last weekend was poor. The service was poor but not only that but the staff were extremely rude. The "mild" dishes that were served were more of a "medium" taste. Such a shame but seriously would think again about going again mainly because of the rude staff (more than one!)

Food brilliant but don't enjoy being stood over whilst eating our meal . Felt that we were rushed to get through our meal as quickly as possible.

A very busy restaurant with great food. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to all my friends. Bottles of wine a little on the expensive side though

We were Seated very quickly, food was very nice and service great. No issues with the restaurant. I would recommend it not only for the above but for the location too

Really enjoyed our meal and the staff were very attentative. Central location in York. Food was served promptly. Friendly staff, nice surroundings will visit again.

Great food at reasonable price and service also very good. Accommadated a couple of last minute changes without any problem or hassle. Would definitely recommend.

Lunch time on a sunday great. Excellent food and very pleasant service we will visit again. The restaurant is centrally located and easy to get to.
