Waited a while for our mains, starters arrived quickly but it was fine. Restaurant busy, nice atmosphere so we didn’t mind waiting

The service was very slow. Seemed to be concentrating on the takeaway business. The food was good overall.

Good food but the service is sometimes questionable but overall a nice place to eat. Drinks over priced though but you do get a complimentary Bailey's when you have finished

Decided to have something different. So ordered Chicken Biriyani. Not happy. Too much rice and not enough vegetable curry.

Was really bad today , we was 30 mins late even though we booked , we were given 2 free popadoms , we was sat next to the noisiest table ever, singing, shouting we couldn’t talk to each other , then the pickle tray had reminants of other popadoms in it , very disappointing compared to usual .

Felt rushed, but nice food. Expensive drinks, and didn't have the full menu available. But over all very nice. ... .. .. .. .. ..

Love it, the curries are always excellent and sooo tasty!! We booked for a table of 10, we enjoyed a good atmosphere/food and wine! Always a winner!

Once again both the food and the service where excellent. The staff are very attentive and even though it was quiet on a Sunday evening we weren’t rushed through our meal. Would definitely recommend.

Great Indian dishes prepared and served with a lot of TLC, good portions (as opposed to the mini "Starters" portions generally served). Am in York only once a year but always make sure of at least one visit to the Indian Ocean Restaurant.

Both food and service were excellent from start to finish. Would highly recommend this restaurant. It was our daughters choice for her 12th birthday, it’s her favourite Indian in York. Sarah
