With traditional Turkish decor and elegant white table clothes, Istanbul Restaurant and BBQ House’s cosy location makes it the perfect choice for any occasion in Shrewsbury. Turkish cuisine is known for its rich flavours and perfectly charcoal grilled meats, as well as fresh seafood dishes and hearty vegetarian stews, and you can experience all this at Istanbul Restaurant and BBQ House in the town centre. To sample a number of different Turkish delights, we recommend kicking off your meal by sharing a selection of mezze. Options range from lamb borek to creamy garlic mushrooms, hummus and scallops with halloumi.
Then, move on to a juicy grill like the adana kebab, rack of lamb chops or the whole sea bream, or try another Turkish specialty like the karides güveç (baked prawns with tomato, mushroom, peppers, onions and garlic). Whether you’re a meat lover or vegetarian, you’ll find plenty of choices on the extensive menu. Open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner, Istanbul Restaurant and BBQ House is always a popular choice. You’ll find it located on Frankwell in the heart of the town centre – to guarantee a table, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
Probably the best lamb I have ever tasted, so tender and beautiful flavours. The bread, olives and dips were delicious as were the feta and mint borek. All in all a fabulous meal and great service too.
Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and good service even though they were very busy. We will definitely be returning. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Shrewsbury.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. I would highly recommend to anyone who has eaten Turkish food before or anyone who wanted to try it for the first time.
