Jackson + Rye - Kingston

Great food and drinks and the staff were happy to wait until one of our group arrived. However, drinks took a little longer to arrive than expected. Surprisingly quiet for a Friday evening

Very welcoming staff. The restaurant had picked up my request given I had special guests with me and placed me where I wanted (on the terrace). Service was quick and efficient - but not over imposing. Food was excellent - steak and seabass. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Forgot to give us our nuts, then tried to charge us for them. Otherwise lovely meal, reccomend getting a starter salad and adding a side for a well sized main with variety

Decent food at decent prices. Went for father's day with the family and enjoyed it. The Grilled chicken sandwich & pecan pie are really tasty

Very friendly greeting upon arrival and seated to table immediately. Waiter was extremely helpful and attentive. Wide range of food choice. Food was fabulously. Would highly recommend this restaurant in Kingston.

Excellent all round service and value for money. Varied menu which is great for breakfast or brunch. Would thoroughly recommend Jackson and Rye for a Saturday or Sunday brunhc venue!

Good food and service but had to ask to have the music turned down so that we could hear ourselves talk. Otherwise, a very nice experience.

Good all around restaurant for american style brunch with reasonable meal range. Perhaps slightly more expensive than would expect for this type of menu. Staff friendly and efficient without being obtrusive.

Service wasn't great, food tasted and looked like it had been on a hot plate for a while. Also the toilets were a mess, there were some unsavoury marks on the floor and no hand towels.

Nice food, nice staff. Weren't pushy but asked if we wanted side orders. Nice to be able to sit outside. Thank you very much we will return.

Service was the only saving grace. Food was awful. Tasteless prawns. Greasy chicken wings. And avoid the seafood gumbo at all costs. Really disappointed with the experience .

Went for our anniversary with the wife. Staff were brilliant, treated us especially well. Both food & drinks were amazing but the apple benign desserts were the best! Looking forward to being able to visit again

Kingston Jackson & Rye is a very nice restaurant. It offers excellent food and the staff is very friendly staff. We would definately visit again.

Good food and great service. Staff very friendly. Lovely venue by the river. Children's portions available and if they don't finish, they'll give you a doggy bag!

The food and cocktails were all really good. The service was excellent and we liked the music. It's quite expensive but worth it. Service charge is high though (12.5%).

Although quiet when we went, its a lovely place with authentic American food. All 3 of us were totally happy with the food we ordered. Service friendly and efficient. Will deff go there again and very soon

Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Tasty and fresh food, particularly enjoyed the calamari starter. They were also very accommodating for us as I had my newborn baby with me and they gave us a larger table in a corner as requested. I will definitely be going back.

great staff, smokey BBQ, cocktails, meat, what more could you want! Loved it, and the menu will take a while to work through so many visits to come...

The warmest welcome, I was also really impressed with the sophistication and cleanliness of the restaurant. Beautifully decorated! We were asked promptly about drinks and taken through the menu. The food was first class!! The New York striploin steak was incredible and even though we were full we had to have dessert. We did not regret! My new fave place in kingston.

Table of 8 on a bank holiday weekend at short notice. Great food and drink. Good service. Adults and kids all loved it. Will be back.

Very nice, didn't have to wait for food, and was cooked lovely, I had cod in bay cream, delicious, my partner had the beef rib, he didn't like this, but don't let this put you off as he had never tried this before and wasn't sure how it should taste, will definitely return, this was my second visit.

Excellent service. The starters were delicious. We all had steak cooked to perfection. A bottle of Primitivo washed it all down. A great restaurant for a night out.

Nice starters, friendly service. Had to wait an hour between courses. Was told a couple conflicting reasons why but then offered a free drink. Steak was not great.

A good atmosphere with friendly staff, efficient service and tasty food. Greeted at at the door swiftly with a smile and taken to our table quickly, even on a Saturday night.

Brunch was great: we had pancakes and granola. Staff were friendly. Great location on the river watching the world go by. Would recommend if you're in Kingston.

Hoorah! Another chain. Just what London needs.... That said we liked the selection of different fusion dishes which were in some cases oddly presented but good quality to be fair. The bourbon selection good as one would expect. The kids menu consists of small portions and all items were individually charged making their meal unusually expensive for what they got. We won't go back with the kids but may revisit ourselves at some point.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. I went for lunch with friends and we found the choices a bit limiting. I enjoyed my seafood gumbo a good amount of seafood but there could have been a little more rice.

Very disappointing food. Had the chorizo prawns which were just battered prawns. The ribs were sooooo dry and overwhelmingly smoked as were my husband's chicken wings. Won't be going back. Very disappointing as it's in such a great location

Went on a bank holiday for a (boozy) brunch and catch up with friends, couldn't have made a better choice! The staff is super friendly, helpful and patient! The food is amazing as well. We had the banana pancakes which were delicious! My friend had one of the breakfasts which also looked mouthwatering good! Will definitely come back and keep recommending this place to my friends!

Really good service and lovely food. Staff were very polite and attentive. Have been many times to Jackson and rye but this was the best service we've had to date.

We had a Very prompt and pleasant service . Food was also very good . Atmosphere was lively . We had a child with us and that was accomadated very well .

Loved it although 30% for service charge is very high. Great atmosphere and bar staff were great. Brisket was a total winner. Good job xx

it was a long wait for the meal and the chips were cold and the burger burnt. However, they did take it off the bill along with a drink and popcorn chicken.
