Since 1994, Jaipur Cottage has been quietly dishing up high class Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine to Clent locals, and intrepid curry lovers who come from as far as Birmingham and Bromsgrove to sample what’s on offer. What is on offer is a long list of classic South Asian dishes, prepared using fresh ingredients and spices that are ground on site at Jaipur Cottage’s handsome St Leonard’s Square premises on the corner of Church Avenue. With plenty of vegetarian options available, Jaipur Cottage is a destination for many travelling through this beautiful part of the West Midlands.
A special all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet is a local secret and a popular weekend feast for those who live in Clent. From noon until 3pm on the sabbath, Jaipur Cottage’s venerable premises on the Church Avenue corner of St Leonard’s Square are packed out with families enjoying their unique brand of South Asian cuisine. It’s Jaipur Cottage’s chef’s specials that are particularly sought after by those in the know, and it’s for these that aficionados of West Midlands’ Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine come for, with many taking the time to drive through the countryside from Birmingham and Bromsgrove. A daily chicken or lamb special is usually chalked up on the board, different each day and cooked with the chef’s secret blend of hand-ground spices. Other curious dishes include an Indian-style pasta and Nepalese delicacies. Jaipur Cottage deserves to be more widely known.
Great food. Will eat there again. Can highly recommend the mango delight curry. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean with great ambience. 10/10
Excellent food, if you have not visited you must book, you will not be disappointed. It gets very busy so I suggest making a reservation. It also does takeaway!
have not been to the Jaipur for a long time, but not disappointed, food was good six of us ate and all were pleased with their choice, service good, would go back
Nice surroundings and a friendly service, Varied menu. Well stocked bar. I did think food could be slightly warmer but maybe due to numbers of people being served.
The food was very good and the staff were very friendly. The property is very quirky. We Will be going back again very soon .
Overall very pleasant experience just a couple of minor service issues great food friendly staff will use again as we do use pretty regular through the year
Consistently good food but the service can be a little slow. Probably the best Indian in the area at the moment. Would definitely recommend a visit
No buffet as advertised, the reason given was that there were not enough people dining. The restaurant is looking very tired, with very little atmosphere. The food when it arrived was very disappointing, and poorly presented. The one saving grace was our waiter who was charming. Would we go again......most definitely not.
Very good venue. Excellent food. Very good service withour being too fussy. Overall a good experience
Yet another fabulous meal. The service was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit hopefully soon.
Staff friendly, however I felt the quality of food was quite poor for the price of the meals. don't think I would recommend this restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere as usual, will be back soon!!
