Beautiful food great customer service and the best tikka masala in town possibly the country we travel 20 miles most Fridays to enjoy the ambiance and incredible food. Quiet restaurant authentic and reasonable prices. Absolutely love it here never had a bad meal to date👍
Presuming 1 is low and 6 is high? Restaurant was busy. New female waitress wasn't that confident or knowledgeable but other staff were attentive. Food was great, nice atmosphere, interesting cocktails.
a friendly welcoming experience right from the start, staff very attentive and helped with good advice on the construction of the menu, food was extremely good and would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to friends, and will be returning

Great food and good value for money. We would back definitely. All staffs at Jhilmil are very experienced. Nice bar and many choices of cocktails. Overalls very good.
The overall dining experience was ok. Not happy with the limited vegetarian options on the menu, therefore had to have the only main which was an aubergine dish & I do not particularly like aubergines. It certainly would not have been my 1st choice! The waiter was friendly enough but maybe too attentive for me.... He did seem to 'hover' around the table too much which was off putting somewhat! The decor throughout the restaurant was very modern & finished to a high standard. ...very good seating with bench/table around the perimeter & the option for round tables for larger parties. I probably wouldn't return purely for the lack of vegetarian options, which is a shame as the restaurant itself is ok.
Very tasty food and friendly staff. A different take on your average Indian food in Portsmouth. Felt a little rushed inbetween starter and main but a bonus was they let us take a doggy bag away with us as we had loads leftover.
We had a lovely dinner for Valentine's Day and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really well cooked and I'd especially recommend the lamb shank rogan josh
