Great food, lovely owners, and a nice place. Recommend the mixed veg mezze starter. Also do nice cakes and nice mint tea for afterwards. Wholeheartedly recommended.

The food was delicious and the service outstanding. The music, the smells, the decor made it a unique experience. I really had a great time. I was already too full for dessert (cakes) but I'd definitely come back for it!

Great food, nice people, decent price. The starter is especially good and the veg couscous is mighty fine too, highly recommended. Great location too. We love Khamsa!

Friendly atmosphere and good food. We needed somewhere close to Brixton on a Saturday night which was relaxed and not too noisy with food that suited vegetarians non-vegetarians so this really fitted the bill. We'll be back.

Food was fine, but not amazing, the meat was quite overcooked. More like going to a friends house than a restaurant for level of cooking. Service was pretty heavy handed – i had one bite before being asked how it was and when i didn't finish it all was awkwardly asked if i didn't like it.

Great tasting food, authentic setting & friendly guys working there. Unpretentious Algerian food, and cosy tea room in the basement .. why not branch out from Brixton Village!

They could clearly indicate that children are not welcome in the restaurant. Food was quite ok but service is not at the standard of few months ago. The waiter was very nice but the cook (presumably the owner) was quite unfriendly.

The food here was amazing. I recommend the Chicken with Sweet potato. It was one of the nicest meals I've had in a long while.

The food was cookef from scratch and everyone thought it was really lovely but most of my guests found the experience a bit pressurised - we had a larger sized group (8) and maybe because it was a Saturday night and birthday group they werr anxious about demand incl. Restricting choices from the menu. The service felt quite impatient at times. It was a beautiful cafe restaurant but we were seated with our backs to a long window so it got quite cold and was a bit crammed.

Such a fantastic experience! The personalised service was remarkable. The head chef not only cooks all of the meals fresh right in front of you (no reheated dishes in this place), but he comes to the table and ensures that you are having the experience you require. This restaurant caters to the need of the customer. The food is phenomenal. Fresh, hearty portions with an abundance of flavour. You will not leave hungry! The vegetarian options are tasty and my date had the chicken, which was tended and melted in your mouth. Now for the finale... The pastries. The chef is a trained pastry chef and you can tell by the love and care he puts into his food. The Baklawa was moist and sweet and really leaves with you a feeling of authenticity. By far my best dining experience in 2016 - a hidden gem in Brixton that deserves all the accolades it is receiving.

Very nice & cozy place to celebrate some unique anniversary. The food is amazing and the crew is very helpful & friendly. No crowds during the week & very affordable prices. No corkage fee if you bring your wine. Definitely recommended experience.

Djamal made us feel like we were at home, his attention to detail is unbelievable. He made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was delicious and the atmosphere welcoming. I highly recommend the 7 salads and the chicken with sweet potato tagine. Khamsa is definitely my number 1 place in London.

Great little place, amazing food and lovely people running it. A neighbourhood place that's worth the trip from Brixton or Clapham High Street. Definitely recommend.

Hi The food at khamsa was just ok The costomer service is the worse Specially the cook which is to much full of him self makes feel like is doing u favour also to pushy to leave once u finish your food. When it comes for the food price is pricy regarding to the area and location Is west end restaurant price.

Restaurant did not know about our booking which was a major failing of Quandoo. However, even though it was 9:30pm on a Thursday and the restaurant was empty, they allowed us to stay for dinner. The food and service were both fantastic and we will return.

The food was very good and some lovely flavours. But there was little atmosphere and the staff were not friendly/verging on rude. I was not made to feel at home there.
