Furthering its reputation as Maryhill’s finest Indian restaurant, Killermont Polo Club has upped its game even more in recent times with a refurbishment, name change and improvements in the kitchen that saw it named one of the finalists at the 2016 Scottish Curry Awards. That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of food on offer at Killermont Polo Club, but it’s worth noting that in addition to familiar Indian favourites there is a wealth of more exotic dishes available either a la carte or from the amazing buffet. Highlights include a delicate curry made from ground almonds, cashews and rare wild herbs, as well as a number of Uzbeki-inspired Dum Pukht dishes from the days of the Indian Moghul emperors. Right beside the University of Glasgow campus at Garscube, Killermont Polo Club has an ideal location and beautiful, old club-style atmosphere that makes it truly one of a kind in Maryhill.
A last minute Saturday night booking after reading good reviews. Couldn’t fault the experience. Fabulous food and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended. Lamb chops were awesome.
Really good food with a large menu and also buffet option for those who wish it. Nice setting and very comfortable chairs. and excellent staff
Fantastic menu, lots loads of choices. Service was delivered well by attentive staff who were very polite. Menu choices were the best that I’ve ever seen in an Indian restaurant. Thoroughly impressed!
Returned after many years to be delighted to find that Killermont Polo Club still offfers a great servicee and a menu with a variety of delicious options.
The service was excellent, all staff very friendly, courteous and helpful with the menu options. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown immediately to our table. The food was really lovely, freshly made and hot. We will be sure to return soon.
I could not fault it except that I think that another couple of Western dishes could be added to the menu. Otherwise the ambience, the meal, the service , how reasonable the meal was etc. was excellent , I would certainly recommend it.
Very friendly staff and delicious food - good choice of dishes on the menu. Restaurant is in a lovely old building set in its own quiet grounds off a busy street but the views from the window let you think you are in a peaceful spot in the country.
Really enjoyable Indian food. Platter of starters was outstanding. There was a choice of buffet or a la carte. We went for buffet and enjoyed the selection of choices. Very good service and excellent value.
Had a very good evening, the buffet was an excellent price though 1 or 2 of the buffet dishes could have been filled more often, but what was there was delicious . Very happy to recommend this restaurant .
Excellent food and service where you can get gluten free food. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough to ensure you have a good evening. Great choice of curries.
