Furthering its reputation as Maryhill’s finest Indian restaurant, Killermont Polo Club has upped its game even more in recent times with a refurbishment, name change and improvements in the kitchen that saw it named one of the finalists at the 2016 Scottish Curry Awards. That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of food on offer at Killermont Polo Club, but it’s worth noting that in addition to familiar Indian favourites there is a wealth of more exotic dishes available either a la carte or from the amazing buffet. Highlights include a delicate curry made from ground almonds, cashews and rare wild herbs, as well as a number of Uzbeki-inspired Dum Pukht dishes from the days of the Indian Moghul emperors. Right beside the University of Glasgow campus at Garscube, Killermont Polo Club has an ideal location and beautiful, old club-style atmosphere that makes it truly one of a kind in Maryhill.
Lovely elegant surroundings and attentive but not intrusive staff. We chose the buffet and had a plate of very special and perfectly cooked starters brought to the table. Then we went to the buffet room where there was a wide choice of authentic and tasty mains. Thank you.
