La Caverna - Wylde Green

A small but very nice restaurant. A very good set 4 course menu and the food was great. The lady serving is very good working on her own but giving first class service very helpful and attentive.

Had an enjoyable evening with friends. The service was friendly and efficient, good freshly cooked food, great value (fixed price 4 course menu). Will go again.

Very good quality and great value for money, soft drinks a bit on the pricy side but all in all excellent. Recommend the sword fish.

Good food & service. Welcoming. There were six of us. We decided on the four course menu which had an array of choice including vegetarian. Larger portions too. Overall well recommended. Always book as it is a small place & fills up quickly. .

Lovely meal- the food was full of flavour and great value- bread, 3 courses, coffee and limoncello for only £16.95pp! The waitresss was very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, relaxed environment, £16 menu superb value. Try the crab stuffed mushrooms for starters and the whole sea bass for mains - lovely! Will be back soon

As always great array of choices and menus, the food was fabulous, service was well timed and staff were friendly and helpful all adding to the great atmosphere in the restaurant. We will be back!!

Great service and food - exceptional value deal. The house wine is not cheap but pretty rough :( - that's about the only criticism. If you sit beside the door it can be a bit chilly when people enter and leave.

Enjoyed the food with the exception of my partners main the beef was a little chewy. Had the 4 course menu so excellent value for money

Small intimate Italian restaurant. Provides a good selection of both starters and main courses. Excellent value for money as they offer a four course menu for £16.00. Service was quick, efficient by friendly staff.

£16 for 4 courses excellent value. House wine was a bit disappointing but overall an excellent experience. Staff and service very good. Will go again

This was our first visit to this restaurant, it was a very nice experience. Attentive staff, very big portions off the reasonably priced set menu. We were even given a free shot at the end of the meal.

Our pod was lovely apart from the beef bourginon which was very tough. The waitresses were very wooden and had no personality. With the four course menu I thought it was good value for money

La Caverns is small and quite intimate, the decorations are tasteful so from the beginning it is a nice place to enter, the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Most of all the food was excellent, the choice was extentive, service excellent , a very enjoyable meal, we had the set menu which was very good value for money. I am sure that when La Caverna get known a little more it will be fully booked every night, we look forward to our next visit which we hope will be very soon.

Good choice for a set menu. Service and food lovely. Could be better choice of wines/beers. Bottled water warm no ice. However definitely worth a visit.

Second visit and a brilliant meal again. Had the chicken salad which I did not like much but the rest of the meal was great. 4 courses for £16.00 can't be bad. Excellent staff and I hope the owner knows that.

Our party of 4 had a lovely evening.The service was excellent as was the food.This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last.

For these prices I expect absolutely first class, fine dining. This was not always the case. The food was merely 'nice'! Service slow - we gave up on coffee it took so long - so we simply got the bill.

Disappointing experience - Poor quality food, everything smothered in either a tomato or creamy sauce/soup! Restsurant lacks atmosphere. Would not recommend and will not be returning

Classy restaurant with exquisite food. We were well looked after from arrival to departure. Good menu to choose from and not overly priced. A great dining experience. We will definitely be returning.

La Caverna in Boldmere Road is a small italian restaurant that we as a couple celebrating our wedding anniversary visited on a quiet thursday evening .The waitress was lovely and polite nothing was too much trouble and she didnt hover which always annoys my wife . The meal we were served that evening was SUPERB no other word for it . they do have a menu 4 courses for£15 but we opted for the al a carte menu so it was a bit more pricey but well worth it . When we informed the waitress that it was our wedding anniversary as we were paying the bill she disappeared and returned with a large bottle of wine as a gift for us which we thought was lovely as we had never before been to La Caverna . We would like to say to anyone thinking of trying this restaurant to GO FOR IT you wont be disappointed .

This was our first visit, so we tested the fixed menu @ £16.95 and found it to be very good and excellent value for money. Service was v.good Only negative was, wine expensive and selection of beers disappointing.

We had an excellent meal & the staff were lovely. Unfortunately as a member of the Gourmet Society I had expected a 25% discount for all of my party of 5 because in the details for the Wylde Green branch there was no restriction on numbers. The manageress advised me that the policy was for just 2 people & the details for your other branch did say this. She was very sympathetic but had to abide by company policy. I am taking this up with the Gourmet Society & suggest that you do the same as it leads to disappointment and reflects badly on the restaurant - hence a rating of 4. Will I return? Probably but there will be only two of us!

Nice staff, nice welcome on arrival. Choice of tables. Had the £16 menu and found it difficult to decide what to have! Will go back, hopefully soon!
