Spanish food has always been a long-term favourite of diners up and down the length of Great Britain. We’ve almost all had the ritual week in Marbella, Magaluf, somewhere slightly classier and once we took our tastes a bit further than Yorkshire puddings and gravy, then some of us even managed to sample some of the local grub. Sheffield is a long way from Spain, of course, but on the Costa Del Don, one can find a taste of tapas that’s as good as any found in Iberia at La Mama in Sheffield, Nether Edge on Abbeydale Road. That means croquetas, patatas bravas and Spanish omelettes for veggies, calamari, fried whitebait and octopus for seafood fans and chorizo, marinated lamb and albondigas for meat lovers. Take a trip to Nether Edge for one of the top tapas bars in Sheffield – do book a table ahead of time, though, as they get get crowded from time to time.
The food was delicious, so much to choose from. The staff were lovely, made us feel totally welcome. Lovely atmosphere, we shall definitely come again and would recommend
Came to celebrate my partners birthday. Great tapas with friendly service! Tried many of the dishes (good variety) but the lamb dish was incredible, would definitely visit again!
Very nice staff, small homely atmosphere & wonderful really tasty food. 7 dishes,1 dessert & 2 Drinks (-on 2-4-1offer) & it was only £52 odd.
