Arrived for a birthday celebration meal only to find the restaurant completely closed. Even though I'd booked the table 3 days in advance, I received no text/email that day or indeed now two days later to inform me of any issues. We had to relocate to another restaurant and consequently had a substandard meal. Not what I had in mind for the birthday celebrations!
Very disappointed as restaurant wasn't open ,booked online and not told,we were really looking forward to having a meal there ,Not sure I would Rebook.
We arrived at the restaurant to find it closed "due to unforeseen circumstances". I hope this does not mean that the business has closed entirely, but restaurants here on Burton Waters have gone bust before, mainly due to the high rents the money grabbing landlords charge.
With a chic and stylish dining space, relaxing outdoor terrace and views of the idyllic Burton Waters, Lincoln’s Laguna Verde Restaurant is a local favourite if ever there was one. The food is the real star of the show here, with plenty of delectable Mediterranean dishes just waiting to be sampled. We recommend kicking things off at Laguna Verde with a few starters to share, such as beetroot carpaccio with goat cheese and garlic bread; tomato and garlic pizza and the antipasti platter brimming with Napoli, Milano and parma ham. Feeling hungry yet?
For the main event, no meal at Laguna Verde Restaurant is complete without tucking into one of the freshly made Napoletana pizzas, and our favourite? The Toscana topped with goat cheese sun-dried tomatoes, peppers, spinach and mozzarella. Or, keep your eyes peeled for the scallops with king prawns served with baked apple and mango mousse, or duck cooked in red wine and served with poached pear, marinated beetroot and parsnip puree. Also, another tip for Mediterranean lovers who like things on the sweet side – save room for either the chef’s signature chocolate mousse made with Bailey’s-infused Belgian chocolate, or the ever-delicious, tiramisu. Located not too far from Lincoln’s city centre along Burton Waters, Laguna Verde Restaurant is guaranteed to satisfy, just be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
