Fantastic food, had a lovely range of all different types to order. They Catered well for a group of 13 people. Staff were very friendly.
Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so they gave us a drink on the house, which I thought was a nice touch....service was spot on....we wasn’t rushed at all....food was lovely....staff were lovely....great atmosphere....will definitely be going back and will most certainly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻
Good food. Good staff. Very clean Nothing bad to say. I highly recommend this place. I think this is my new favourite restaurant in Ipswich.
Warm welcome. Very friendly busy staff. Food was very nice, exceptionally well presented Restaurant was fully booked but we didn't have to wait very long for our dishes to come out. Good restaurant.
We eat at Lanterns on a regular basis and to be honest we have never had a bad meal. The staff are attentive and very polite, the food is always 10 out of 10 and in all it is a very nice place to eat.
Booking for Valentines. Prior to booking I checked their website for their menu, showing a buffet menu as expected, but on arrival their menu for the evening had changed to 3 set menus at increased prices from the norm. With no prior warning of this we left in search of a better deal and better choices than those we were presented. Needless to say we found it quickly and the management at another chinese buffet were more than happy to accomodate us given the situation. Cheaper elsewhere, but given the situation the staff at Lanterns graced us with the drinks for free we ordered before leaving. Nice enough place but will think twice before booking for a special event again.
Excellent. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were efficient, attentive and friendly. I had booked a table for 6, but when another member of our family joined us at the last minute, the manager went to fetch another table to add onto ours to give us all more room to spread out. The food was plentiful, freshly cooked, hot and absolutely delicious. Great value for money, will be back again
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and was served in a timely manor. Would definatley recommend Lanterns to friends and family. We will be going back again at somepoint.
My only slight criticism of Lanterns was although the staff were efficient throughout, they could have been a little more welcoming and friendly which would have enhanced our evening. The food was excellent and most enjoyable. Will return.
The staff were friendly, and the waiting time was short, however some of the food was not very good, for example the 'crispy aromatic duck' with pancakes was quite awful; the duck had pieces of fat and skin in it, and the flavour was quite bland, it was nothing like what we have had at other Chinese restaurants. The 'Satay Chicken' was almost tasteless, the chicken was dry, and it was hard to tell there was peanut sauce with it. We were only given wipes for our hands with the bill, and the drinks were expensive. I would not recommend it, nor would I go back there. Also there was an almost constant telephone ringing, which was rather irritating.
