Excellent food as always. Good selection of fresh key cooked cuisine. Staff always friendly

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. But very disappointed that we were charged full price for our meal even though we only had starter and duck as my friend suffered a heart attack so obviously could carry on our evening 😔

Vegetarian choices on the buffet menu are very limited yet it costs the same. The vegetarian buffet at Trongs costs less. The service was very good and we had a good night.

Fantastic lunch again, we eat here regularly and love the food and service. The lunch time menu is great value and the dim sum are wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Decided to go here based on a Friends recommendation and they weren’t wrong. Food was great, good service/atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Would definitely go again!

Good food and good service. Some waitresses were friendlier than other's. Booking the table was incredibly easy and the whole party enjoyed our evening at lanterns.

The food was absolutely amazing but service was minimum. We ordered our drinks and Waited ages for them and it wasn’t until we asked 2 times for the alcohol that it was brought over and then for a jug of water we asked 3 times and needed up going to the bar area and asking. We order food and lots of dishes missing - no chicken satay, chow mein, sweet and sour or curry which was disappointing. We were a large table of 15 and were quite loud as you’d expect but felt that the staff were trying to hush us throughout the evening. We were also not impressed with the £46 service charge !!!

we visited on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant was packed, with many people who had not booked being turned away. maybe because of this, the service was a little slow, but the food was delicious, hot and exactly what we asked for. we were a party of 9, and sometimes when it is a large party orders get muddled, but not in this case. the staff were friendly and helpful, and a lovely evening was had by all.

Excellent meal as usually very tasty would definitely recommend. Very friendly staff too value for money. Never had a rubbish meal from lanterns 5 star

Fantastic food, had a lovely range of all different types to order. They Catered well for a group of 13 people. Staff were very friendly.

Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so they gave us a drink on the house,which I thought was a nice touch....service was spot on....we wasn’t rushed at all....food was lovely....staff were lovely....great atmosphere....will definitely be going back and will most certainly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

Bone in the duck and bought out a dish that had not been ordered but overall nice food and friendly staff, service with a smile.

Warm welcome. Very friendly busy staff. Food was very nice, exceptionally well presented Restaurant was fully booked but we didn't have to wait very long for our dishes to come out. Good restaurant.

What a fantastic restaurant! A real Gem for the town of Ipswich! Staff were brilliant food was delicious! Nothing was too much trouble (even going above and beyond to cater for a type two diabetic when it came to the desert ) can’t wait to gone again

We found that there are Super helpful, friendly, attentive staff. Delicious food. Everything was cooked to order and arrived promptly to the table. Lovely atmosphere. Really lovely dining experience.

First time visiting last night. We had the buffet menu and all the food was lovely. The staff were friendly and so polite too. We loved it:)

The staff were friendly, and the waiting time was short, however some of the food was not very good, for example the 'crispy aromatic duck' with pancakes was quite awful; the duck had pieces of fat and skin in it, and the flavour was quite bland, it was nothing like what we have had at other Chinese restaurants. The 'Satay Chicken' was almost tasteless, the chicken was dry, and it was hard to tell there was peanut sauce with it. We were only given wipes for our hands with the bill, and the drinks were expensive. I would not recommend it, nor would I go back there. Also there was an almost constant telephone ringing, which was rather irritating.

Lovely food. Just a shame the duck comes with plum sauce instead of hoi sin :( And make sure you book an early table if you plan to have a buffet or they will look to kick you out before you've got to dessert to put another group in.

Really pleasant atmospheric here and more food than you can eat, a little pricey for the quality of food. Starters needed a dip otherwise a bit dry. Service friendly on the whole.

Always great food quality and great service, staff friendly and helpful, highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit very soon. Anyone looking for the above should definitely give lanterns a try. Donna

Our party of 7 all went for the buffet option, selecting 4 tasty courses from an extensive menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we didn't feel rushed in any way.

Everything was really good, waitresses really good and good fun, food was hot when served, 5 given for table layout, could of been better (we had booked for 19 but only 14 turned up, would of been a squeeze with 19).

This is the second time we've been and it was absolutely delicious again, service great even though it was busy when we went in. Definitely go again

Efficient service and brilliant food. Gluten Free options were also highly rated and could pick from the majority of the menu. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Everything about our meal at lanterns was excellent. The service was polite and timed perfectly, food very good quality and very tasty, warm plates and popping hot food. We will be making this restaurant a favourite.

Wonderful, we love lunchtime DimSum at Lanterns. Its a firm family favourite for us.

Food and service excellent. Menu had wide selection of dishes. Very popular restaurant and despite all tables being full we didn’t feel rushed at all and there was just the right amount of time between courses. Would recommend without hesitation.

Good average service considering how busy. The food was a good standard it came out nice and hot. The ambiance was quite loud due to the echoing of voices. The toilet could do with some tlc.

The food was great fresh wine was good and the service was excellent lovely dining experience I would definitely recommend this restaurant I'll be going to lanterns again

Absolutely love Lanterns! Service and food amazing and I am a very frequent visitor.

Four of us visited on the evening of the 10/3/18. We found that the services was very slow but the food and drinks were very good.

Friendly well meaning staff, but the service didn't feel that personal or attentive sometimes. Had to ask for some things ordered more than once. But reasonably priced food that was good quality.

Once again the food was exceptionally good, the service was great and overall a lovely night out, would recommend Lanterns to everyone, brilliant place to eat.

Fantastic food, piping hot, attentive and helpful staff- incredible value for money- is firmly on my list to go again asap. Just brilliant for Chinese food.

Yet another fantastic meal as always. Great service by friendly and attentive staff, always made to feel so welcome- cannot fault Lanterns and will certainly be returning again soon.
