Always a joy to eat at Le Petit Nantais - food is superb!

our visit was on one of the hot evenings, the restaurant was cool and airy another great visit

Delicious food, very well-cooked fish and the best creme brulee.

The food was good, but duck leg overcooked. There is no aircon in restaurant what it is weird. Fortunately we were siting close to ventilator. It is definitely to expensive compare to what you get.

What an absolute gem! Family run, friendly service and really high quality and thoughtful meals. Hoping to score a spot for tomorrow (if someone cancels), we enjoyed it that much

The ambience of the restaurant was relaxing, the food was delicious with an excellent choice and the restauranteur and his family offered excellent personal service and interesting information. The whole evening was most enjoyable.

Fabulous food and service making a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon

We loved it! It was a last minute booking for our wedding anniversary as our plans suddenly changed. We are local (15 minutes away) but had not heard about it until seeing the review on Harden’s. They are a family affair going strong for over 25 years. And you can see immediately they care immensely about what they do. It’s a cosy and friendly atmosphere and they accommodated our two daughters beautifully making us feel welcome right from the start. Don’t pay much attention to the printed menu; I t’s all about the specials... ;-)

Food sublime, French cooking at its best. We haven't been for 15 years as we moved to the Welsh borders but the food was as good as it's always been. A special place.

Unfriendly welcome and leaving. For a French restaurant serving bouillabaisse ( a few mussels and some white fish meat ) they clearly had no idea as to what bouillabaisse was supposed to be. Spaghetti with the lobster was far too hot with chilli so overwhelmed the lobster. Also, a number of fish bones found in the slice of turbot. Finally, for a supposedly French restaurant we were surprised to have to request bread with our meal . Ditto the condiments.

Kim and JP never disappoint. The food was superb as always. We brought friends and they were blown away by the quality of the dishes, the personable service, magical fairy lights and the relaxed atmosphere. Long lunches are an absolute must. This special place offers a truly magnificent experience!!

This was our first visit to Le Petit nantais. It was the best experience we have had anywhere for at least 10 years and restored my faith in eating out. We will be back soon.

Well run family restaurant with principled stance on where they source their fish. Pleasant banter and good food. Great place for a treat and/or special occasion. Recommend.

Everything was excellent except the coffee which was disappointing. Nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful service. Attractive decor and such a pleasure to have a tablecloth. So unusual these days.

A lovely family run restaurant. The food was excellent. Lovely fairy lights. Jean Phillipe is the owner and chef and he came to speak to us. Very impressive. There is a reason they have been there for 28 years. We will most certainly dine there again.
