I'm a little bit unsure of this place, I do feel bad for writing this as the staff are lovely. But unfortunately I can't really say I enjoyed my curry. It reminded me of the curries I used to try and make as a 12 year old girl, by throwing in a load of spices and hoping for the best. It was extremely powdery. I knew it wasn't going to taste like a traditional Indian Madras I'm using to eating at Indian restaurants seeing as the Lemon Leaf if Nepalese but I wouldn't say it tasted like a Madras at all. However, my pilau rice was nice and the onion bhajee starter was nice, although missing a wedge of Lemon. It's all a bit of an odd set up in there, it looks very run down and dated with tables scattered around. Despite not being busy in the restaurant, service was slow. But I can forgive that as it was father's day, and I expect there was a fair few takeaway orders. I don't think I'll be recommending this restaurant or eating there again.

The meal was superb, the service was great. Our only problem was we booked our table for five on line when in fact the restaurant doesn’t open until 530 so we had to wait.

Slowest service I have experienced for a long time. Dread to think what it would be like if the place was full. Had to wait 20 minutes for a menu and it was nearly 2 and a half hours before the main course was served

The food and the service are both excellent. The food was well cooked, a great balance of flavours. The portions were a good size as well. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I would recommend The Lemon Leaf to anyone.

We loved the food which was well cooked and presented and tasted amazing. The pilau rice is probably the best I've ever tasted. The staff are friendly and attentive. We will certainly be returning. This was our first visit and certainly won't be the last.
