Originally opened in Paris in 1962, the Knightsbridge outlet of Les Gourmets des Ternes is making waves throughout London for its authentically French cuisine. A hotspot for celebrities in both the London and Paris locations, Les Gourmets des Ternes has earned itself a reputation for excellence that’s difficult to surpass in both cities. Situated on Knightsbridge Green just steps from Hyde Park, Les Gourmets des Tournes is ideal for gourmands and foodies who crave proper French cuisine in elegant surrounds.
Disappointing all mains were not available given limited selection and it was only 8pm on a Saturday evening. Wine choice also not available but in fairness a more expensive similar wine was offered at the same price. Food presentation and quality average.
Francophiles have found their favourite restaurant in Les Gourmets des Ternes in Knightsbridge. Incredibly French, complete with French chefs, workers and naturally, traditional cuisine, this restaurant is truly the place to come for gourmet cuisine, the likes of which is found in very few other French restaurants in London. The interior is charming, but we wouldn’t call it casual – eating at Les Gourmets des Ternes is most definitely an upscale affair. Despite this, the menu items are appropriately priced, especially considering the gourmet ingredients used in every one of the restaurant’s fantastic entrees, mains and desserts.
Open for lunch and dinner every day of the week except for Sunday, Les Gourmet des Ternes in London’s Knightsbridge is taking the city by storm with its truly authentic French dishes, just steps from Hyde Park and close to Knightsbridge tube station on Knightsbridge Green. The restaurant’s close proximity to Harrod’s perhaps gives away that the food is of the fancy variety – nothing wrong with indulging from time to time, right? Order the restaurant’s signature mains such as the veal fillet normande served with cream sauce, the hearty piece de bouef with your choice of salad or french fries, or the scallops Provencale. Les Gourmets des Ternes is famous for the creme caramel – simply a must-try for fans of sweet desserts. Reservations are absolutely necessary for this fine French dining establishment.
