Little Italy - Penicuik

It was a lovely meal served by friendly staff. It is a great shame that we were told that the restaurant was to close two days later on 31 December for good.

Fantastic restaurant will definitely be going back soon as it was brilliant

Another enjoyable afternoon at Little Italy, our favourite place to eat. Great food and service as always, lovely, friendly atmosphere too. Would most definitely recommend and will certainly be back sometime soon.

Really interesting menu and great service from the staff. Some dishes quite unique to us. It would have scored a six if they hadn't run out of that Italian stalwart, Minestrone soup. Come on guys, it was a cold night!

Great atmosphere, great service, lovely food. Delighted to have found this Italian restaurant, however late in the day. Will definitely return. Our visit was enhanced by the wonderful voice and playing of Roberto Enzo. A wonderful evening!

Went on a Saturday eve, four adults, enjoyed it very much, something for everyone. Great atmosphere, great staff, great prices, great wine, great desserts !!!

Best restaurant hands down in Penicuik. Great food, prices and service and also a great place to take the kids. Lovely for a meal out with the whole family or for a special celebration; birthday, anniversary, etc.

lovely food, good prices. Waiters could have been more friendly. 2 of our party have severe nut allergies , to which staff were alerted, but the ice cream was still served with hazelnut chocolate sticks. We pointed this out and fresh ones were delivered

‘Medium rare’ steak was cooked well done.. this has happened twice we have been there Also Last time we were there we ordered steak and got veal! Extremely small portions of (oily) veg No one else in restaurant yet my side order was forgotten then came when nearly finished my steak Steak is nice!

Great service and food. My 8 year old son loves the muscles and would highly recommend them. We have visited a few times and never been disappointed. Staff are very friendly.

The staff are always friendly and welcome you into the restaurant. The meal was amazing and I would recommend anyone to go and sample the beautiful Italian cuisine.

The food was outstanding and the staff were attentive and full of good cheer. Helpful but not intrusive, personal, friendly with no lack of humour. A great meal and a splendid night. The ambience inside is great. Will be back

Today was our first visit and we will definitely be back. Our meal was excellent. We will also recommend Little Italy to our friends and family.

The restaurant was clean, staff friendly and the order was taken promptly. The food was excellent. Portions a bit large, but was so tasty made every effort to eat our way through it. Good selection for vegetarian guest as well. Will be going back.

did not like the service got offered a clip board with the set menu s we choose two course meals had our starters when it came to the main course we got half a pizza each thought it was strange waiter said i will get you another pizza which he did we waited half an hour on the 1st pizza 10 mins on the second pizza then we got over charged bye £3 i never noticed till i was out my wife wanted out as she had enough waiting and was dissapointed with the service .

Very dissapointed, booked a table for 2 wednesday 5th of april for my girlfreinds bithday without visiting first and arrived to find that it is closed on wednesdays!

We both had a steak and it was very good, highly recommend and very good value for money. The staff were both friendly and helpful.

Lovely little restaurant with great food and service. Husband's risotto dish wasn't the best he had tasted but the rest of the party enjoyed their meal.

My friend and I always enjoy a lovely lunch at Little Italy and yesterday was no exception. We received a warm and friendly greeting, the food was excellent and the staff were, as usual, very friendly and attentive. The ambience is great and we can't think of anywhere else we would rather spend an afternoon. Would highly recommend and, of course, will definitely be back.

Excellent...easy booking..made welcome..great meal. Used to book on line direct but Quandoo make it simplier and more rewarding so I thoroughly recommend you try this system

We took our two grandchildren to Little Italy in Penicuik. We all enjoyed the food and the children both said that they wanted to go again. They liked designing their pizza! The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. We will definitely go back!

The food was authentically cooked without heavy sauces and the portions were generous. The layout and seating arrangement is spacious and comfortable and the staff are helpful.

Have been a few times and had fantastic meal and service is excellent very friendly staff . have taken friensds here to and everyone highly complimented the food and staff .

Great party atmosphere with brilliant dance musc,we thought being upstairs we might have been a little. It out of it, but I think it was the best place to be! Sea bass very good. It the chateaubriand was quite tough and very thickly cut. Good sized portions

Could do with someone who has better understanding of English... Tried to change booked time on phoneto 1 hour earlier but person answering couldn't understand and finally ended up saying there were no seats available for one hour earlier..on arriving early, prior to booked time, , the place was more or less empty.

Excellent meal and nice friendly service. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed evening with attentive staff . Good menu choice and food was well presented and tasty!
