Always very good. Interesting ingredients are allowed to come out in a dish so that it is a series of delightful little tastes. Consistently high standards. Pleasantly quiet and grown-up environment. There could be a small number of cheaper wine options.

Fantastic food, very understanding as a number of our party backed out at the last minute...only criticism? Our waitress sometimes acted as if the most simple request was a real chore..and never smiled

Fantastic unfussy but slick French food. Friendly unobtrusive service. A must visit for the London Bridge area. Don't miss the French toast and the brilliant coffee to finish.

A very pleasant environment, tables for 2 a little too close together, but not too noisy, much better than many places nowadays. The menu was short but varied an interesting. We had an excellent lunc ( starter and main) . The puddings wre tempting but we resisted. Final bonus, a pot of fresh mint tea. Excellent service

Delicious lunch, food fresh and tasty. Friendly, efficient service. Comfortable surroundings, and you could even hear yourself speak, a rarity in most restaurants. Lunch menu is good value, and I would definitely recommend Magdalen, as a long standing customer.

One of our favourite restaurants in London. A genuine neighbourhood restaurant with charming, friendly service and excellent food which is pleasingly unfussy in its ingredients and presentation. Even when full, it feels intimate.

I had a very enjoyable meal with 5 friends here last night. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere the waiters were friendly and efficient and the food couldn't be faulted at all.
