Maharaja Restaurant Birmingham is one of the most elegant Indian restaurants in the city. A neutral yet stylish interior on Hurst Street in the Chinese Quarter provides the perfect backdrop for Maharaja dishes that are vivid in terms of colour as well as taste – a very pleasant place to sit indeed. Then, this being an Indian restaurant in Birmingham and a damn fine one at that, the food at Maharaja Restaurant is high-quality and laced with nothing but premium ingredients. The menu consists of the dishes most already know and love as well as plenty of signatures that are refined and go beyond the norm in terms of what you might expect. Maharaja Restaurant Birmingham is a delight and advanced reservations are essential if you want to be sure of a table.
We seemed to be ignored when we first arrived. However we had a superb evening with delicious food, a variety of flavours and textures and plenty of it. We would go again if we lived closer.
Good food and service, had a lovely Vegan soya "chicken" curry and rice - friend had a butter chicken curry and both had lovely starter and drinks - recommended
Excellent service from friendly and attentive staff. Food was as delicious as always (tastes almost homemade). Good value for money and a good range of vegetarian food.
