Given that this spruce little Cambridge Southeast Asian restaurant sits pretty on Park Terrace (in the Parker’s Piece cricket pavilion to be precise) slap bang between Petersfield and the southern reaches of the city centre, Mai Thai is confidently everybody’s Thai. The decor is minimal and the four flavour fundamentals of Thai cuisine – spicy, salty, sour and sweet – are perfectly balanced. A definite step up from your run-of-the-mill Southeast Asian eatery, but with prices that are budget-friendly nonetheless, Mai Thai Restaurant is a very good table booking indeed.
