How can I resist you? It’s impossible, really. With an unbeatable Old Town location right in the city centre on Spittal Street, Mamma Mia keeps busy just from passing foot traffic. But it’s the atmosphere and amazing food inside that really keeps the crowds coming back. Specialising in traditional southern Italian food and frivolity, Mamma Mia is the only place in Stirling with a truly authentic Italian ambience, with laughter and the clanging of plates accompanying the clink of wine glasses and heavenly smell of freshly cooked classics. Try some sizzling calamari, handmade pasta or one of Mamma Mia’s changing regional specialties from Bari and you’ll see that this Italian joint has a lot more going for it than its charming medieval surroundings. Though that does add to the romance of it all.
Had lasagne and tiramisu. Both clearly freshly made and delicious. Lovely restaurant. Great location near the castle. Had Groupon deal which was good value. Fab.
A very quaint and novel little restaurant with an intimate and homely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and it was very good they catered for gluten-free diets too. Very friendly staff and everything cooked from scratch including wonderfuo homemade desserts. Overall a perfect experience, will definitely return.
Nice little restaurant within walking distance of Main Street on way up to castle. Very well looked after by the manager and waiting staff without feeling hovered over. Food was fresh and tasty. Portions a bit on the big side-so much so no one managed dessert.
