This place is such a find, as there are so few "proper" Italian restaurants in the city. Great menu and wine list, with super-friendly staff and a really lovely building.

Excellent service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely food and excellent service. Reasonably priced with a good selection dishes. The crab linguine was especially good. If ever I visit Topsham again I would definitely come back.

The food was AMAZING! Wish the portions were bigger because it was so tasty I just wanted to keep eating. Staff were welcoming and polite and the chef (possible to owner as well) was friendly to. Can't wait to go back.

What a find! The food was excellent and the restaurant team couldn't have looked after us any better. In our opinion Marcello offers good value for money. We are in Topsham to celebrate our anniversary and this may be the highlight of our visit - We'll find out tonight when we go to our restaurant of choice

Good service, lovely food, the only thing that let it down was the online menu had fish dishes on it and when we got there we were told that the fish is now not on the menu, so maybe it would be nice if they updated their online menu to reflect this.

An enjoyable Italian meal well cooked and good value in a friendly atmosphere. The Topsham surroundings were also pleasant and we will certainly dine there again.

We wanted to eat around 7pm tonight but 6.30 was the latest online time we could book, and yet there were two tables empty all the time we were eating so slighly confused. We also found a significant lack of atmosphere in the resturant this evening.the food was good and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.

Food was good but a little more variety would be nice, especially on pasta (ie, maybe a ravioli option or some other filled pasta). Atmosphere and staff are very pleasant.

Restaurant is up for sale which resulted in the worse meal and service we have had there A good selection of the basic menu was not available and what was ordered was badly cooked, the wine list was sparse They’ve given up before it’s even sold

There is always a nice atmosphere and cheerful service at Marcello's - prompt and friendly without being too cloying. The food was excellent as always - traditional Italian food home cooked. We had the crab linguine, the lasagne, the penne arriabetta and the risotto - all delicious and without fault. The breaded mushroom starter is also to die for! Would recommend Marcello's for a dinner out, especially as it is an independently run restaurant in the heart of Topsham.

Nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable selection of “traditional” Italian dishes, including pasta and pizza. The pizza one of our party had was excellent.

Great food and good atmosphere. Staff very attentive . Recommend a visit but you need to book. Good value for money too. Should play Italian music !!!

We had mixed results for each course. The meat platter was very good, but the bruschetta was a disappointment. We have memories of very dry lasagne from other restaurants but here it was very good but the linguine carbonara was tasteless. The manager was not very friendly, but the waitress had a bubbly personality and was the highlight of the evening.

Truly enjoyed our meal, The Calamari was the best I have ever tasted. Food freshly cooked & and the Pannacotte was divine❣ definitely going again soon

Visisted here for my boyfriends birthday and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, really attentive and helpful waiter and the food was amazing. The food wasn’t overly expensive either, which it could have been for how good the food was. Atmosphere was very cosy and inviting - would not hesitate to go there again!

All 6 of us really enjoyed our lunches, Italian salads and whitebait to start with followed by very nicely presented steak, chicken on ratatouille, risotto and bolognaise. The children loved their brownies with ice cream and we washed it all down with a smooth bottle of red wine, all very reasonably priced. It took quite a long time but luckily we were in no hurry and it was all worth waiting for!

Delicious. Proper fresh-cooked Italian food - such a change from chain restaurants. Great value too. Charming place and cheerful, friendly staff. A really lovely lunch.

Good honest food. Important that you ask for a table downstairs to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. Great staff and a nice friendly place to eat

A small and cosy Italian restaurant with delicious food and good friendly service, set in a clean with modern decor. The prices are good for the portion size!
