Helensburgh lies just outside of Glasgow, but they don’t have to miss out on the Masala Twist experience. The esteemed Glasgow curry house has opened a branch by the banks of the Clyde, just a short walk from Helensburgh station on James Street. Head down to Masala Twist Helensburgh for an authentic Indian meal, and don’t just take our words for: they were voted among the finest Indian restaurants in Scotland at the Scottish Curry Awards.

Good evening with great food and good service! Would recommended.
I was surprised how quiet the restaurant was for a Saturday evening
Food was delicious, good size portion of chicken. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Glasgow has many curry houses – in fact, the Dear Green Place was the city that gave the world the Chicken Tikka Masala – and the competition between them is fierce. So to be named among the finest in Scotland is some accolade, and one to be boasted about for sure. Masala Twist have achieved such recognition at the Scottish Curry Awards, and at their Helensburgh restaurant on James Street, you can find our why they are known as one of the finest Indian joints around.
Indian restaurants are of course judged on their curries, but to reduce Masala Twist Helensburgh to just that would be to miss out on much of what makes them great. Their starters are a real draw – the haggis pakora is a classic Scottish twist on an Indian classic – and the vegetarian selection is among the best in Glasgow. We’d recommend going in a big group, so that you can share and enjoy a wide range of their dishes – but remember to book, as this James Street restaurant can fill up quickly!
