Excellent experience. The food is great and the staff fantastic.

We had a lovely evening and we all thought the food was extremely good.

Service was poor. Had to wait a long time to get served and when we asked why, they said because it is a Saturday night. No apology and this isn’t a good enough explanation. No surprise that they are busy during a peak time, they should be able to handle it and offer decent service. Eventually one of the older staff offered a free dessert but it was handled poorly overall and they’ll struggle if they don’t address their customer service. We are unlikely to return, there are better places.

Second time I have been here and find the food is great and the restaurant is good with helpful staff. Only disappointment was our order got lost and had a 45 minute wait for starters.

I've been to Matthews a couple of times and the food is always very nice. This time I took two business guests who know the area but have never been to Matthews. Both enjoyed their meal, the service was good. If i had other comment it was that there was nobody else in the restaurant but it didn't spoil it for us

A really cosy place on a wet weekday evening. Staff were great and welcoming. Really good value set price menu and delicious too.

Fantastic! Food as good as the Crouch End branch ever was. Setting spacious and inevitably much superior to Crouch End.
