Max's Brasserie

Fantastic little restaurant. Lots of seafood choices plus a few meat dishes. Lovely selection of starters and tapas. Great food and brilliant service! Would definitely visit again.

Max's Brasserie is up against stiff competition in Southampton's Oxford Street area, but wins my vote as the go to place for an authentic and high quality Italian experience. A warm welcome, friendly and attentive service, matched to great food and wine made our meal thoroughly enjoyable.

We enjoyed our meal very much and although there was a noisy office party that evening it did not spoil our experience. Excellent friendly service and the best cod dish from the Specials board I've had in ages!

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and Max and the team are great. Tomato soup is the best you will ever taste. Just love this place ⭐️

Food was great. Service was great. Small cozy and lovely place. The starters were really good. You should try the portobello mushroom, the calimari, and the tomato soup. Would definitely recommend if you want to go have good food and good service.

Excellent as always! The fillet steak is just outstanding and the service and friendliness of Max and his wife always makes the evening an enjoyable one.

It was our first time at Max's, and we had chosen a lunch. We found the staff very friendly and attentive, the food and drink was great, and the atmosphere pleasant. Very nice overall experience. Thank you. One in the party was vegetarian and one vegan. They catered for our needs. We sat at tables outside, which on a pleasant day such as it was, added to the enjoyment.

An absolutely outstanding experience. A very friendly welcome upon arrival by Max and attentive yet unobtrusive service all evening, nothing was too much trouble. The food itself was a culinary delight, all dishes on our table could've been eaten twice over. A sincere thank you to all at Max's I cannot recommend them highly enough for making our evening perfectly memorable.

Food is amazingly good! I have nothing to say that is negative, except that we drunk too much! One of the restaurants that you want to go to again!

Loved it! We tried Duck Pâté and the Garlic Shrimp for starters both of which we great. Then Fillet Steak and Rack of Lamb for mains. Husband enjoyed his Lamb and my steak was the best I've ever had - great quality meat and cooked perfectly. Desserts also pleasant though nothing outstanding but nice finish to meal - tiramisu and cheese and port. Have already booked a wine tasting evening!

Great restaurant, with great service! Need to book on busier nights as it is quite small and fills up fast. Great tasting food and atmosphere.

A solo diner I was treated with great courtesy and kindness. The food was really delicious and the Sicilian white wine equally excellent. I look forward to going again with friends in the future.

This was a true find. Excellent service, wonderful selection of dishes, out of the ordinary, at reasonable prices! Quirky but down to earth decor. I felt very comfortable all evening. I will be back!
