We're regulars and brought a couple of friends. All 4 of us had different dishes and they were all excellent. Service also good.

We booked Melange for a family lunch and we were not disappointed! Our server was so friendly and attentive, she provided us with several menus; brunch, all-day brasserie and roast dinner. I opted for the beef roast which was extremely well presented, with pink meat, crisp green beans with garlic and crunchy roast potatoes. My guests all enjoyed their various meals and the value is exceptional. We have eaten at Melange for breakfast previously but we now see this as a neighbourhood gem for any time of day and for any occasion.

Two of our party ordered the boeuf bourgignon. Unfortunately one contained very inedible meat, full of gristle, and both were swimming in gravy overwhelming the potato so the whole dish looked unappetising. Apparently this dish is one of their most successful. I’ve had much better elsewhere. The staff were lovely and we weren’t charged for one dish but overall I don’t think we’ll return.
