Great menu. Would recommend the sea bass and sauté potatoes. For dessert, we chose tiramisu and Sachertorte. Service is polite and efficient. Would recommend.

Wonderful seafood with linguini, and a delicious sauce that complemented the cheese and side salad. Terrific with cold dry Prosecco cocktail on a hot day. Service was amazing. Very pleasant and attentive, never obtrusive. I’ll be visiting again.

Being older we found the level of the music being played was too loud. We asked for the sound to be turned down and it was reduced so we were able to talk to our friends.

Service was appalling. Drinks took ages - first lot about 40 mins, then we were joined by a colleague, and it was almost am hour before she got her drink. Food was lovely. It took ages to clear our table and no one even came to ask us if we wanted deserts. Service was absolutely awful.

What an amazing Italian restaurant. It is hard to put into words how much we loved our meal tonight. The building is truly stunning and we loved our tour once we’d eaten. Food was amazing and such good value. Wow- what a gem of a place. Thank you so much

Lovely restaurant, with friendly staff and great menu choices. Sadly, despite asking for my dish to be mild, it came with far too much chilli in the sauce, making it unpleasant to eat. I had to ask for lots of water to ease my burning throat! Presumably the sauce is pre-made with the chilli in, but had the server told me then I could have opted for something else, but instead she just said "That's fine" when I asked for it to be mild. The dish itself would have been perfect had my request have been actioned. However, it was still a lovely experience and I would return if I was in the area.

Great food, prompt service, amazing place, polite staff, nothing more

I booked on-line for a breakfast at 8am for me and my wife. We arrived on time. I said good morning to the woman who appeared. I was greeted with a frown and silence. We were ushered to a corner table and then completely ignored. After being ignored further by a male who emerged, and after waiting nearly 10 minutes, we left.

Being disabled I was disappointed to be given a table that was up several steps with high stools. I had requested when booking that I did not want any stairs

We asked for a bottle of table water and got glasses of water (reiterated that but no change). The food was average. The drink menu was so old it was stuck together. The environment was very noisy, added to by a live saxophone (not required). The owners seemed very focussed about taking photos with glamorous guests in the foyer. A lot of show but not much substance.

Unfortunately, we didn't really enjoy our first ever visit to Merchant of Venice. We booked a table before we went to a show. We gave ourselves 2 full hours to enjoy a few drinks and meal. Staff were polite and friendly. Our starters came without issue and were very nice. After about 50 mins our starter plates were taken away and we asked if we ready for our mains. To which we said yes and ordered more drinks. Drinks came... after half hour we'd drank them then 10 mins later we ordered more drinks came but still no food. The waitress asked again if we ready we said yes and that we'd been waiting 40 mins already. The meal came 20 minutes later, with apologies, but we were already getting ready to leave, our show was in 40 minutes and it was a 20 min walk. We ended up ramming about yhe food down then having to leave. No idea if it was nice or not !! Seems such a shame. We'll go back but not when need to go somewhere.

Easy to book and quick response. However we arrived 30 mins early and asked if we could get a drink at a table before our booking space. Turned away, even though there were tables. Food was really nice. Just felt they could have been more welcoming

Lovely meal and great service. Only negative was the veg and chips were a little over salted.
