Was a fantastic evening and the food was great. The only damper on the eve was when one of the waitresses, who had not been looking after us , approached the table and said you can pay the bill now. Little disappointed, as we were enjoying the last of our £38 bottle of wine, and felt it was quite rude . Will definitely go back as all the other staff were great, will just make sure we avoid her.

Service a little slow as 3 waiters/waitresses serving full restaurant over 2 floors and an outside area but they did their best. I really enjoyed the food but my Husband thought 3 of the dishes were very salty (I am a salt lover) Would go back

Whilst the waiting staff were very good (this is really one thing that couldn't be faulted), the food was not particularly good quality. 1. Everything was excessively salty including the tap water. 2. The food was not hot - at best it was warm. 3. The waiter gave us the wrong order which we accepted rather than wait another 30 minutes (we had ordered paella amongst our food). Our paella had been given to a neighbouring table and we had ended up with theirs. 4. My partner suffered food poisoning after eating the food that very same evening

quality and tastiness of tapas varied; was a little disappointed with the albondigas. Sangria was almost tasteless, but the wait staff was very kind and let us exchange for just glasses of wine.

If you want real Spanish food, you found your place! Real Spanish food at a reasonable price. The "croquetas de pollo" are amazing as well as the calamari. We tried the Paella Mixta which was delicious as well as Arroz a Banda. The service was really nice and attentive. Definitely repeating in the near future.

Superb food in a charming courtyard on a warm night in Islington. Who needs to go to Spain? Great value white rioja to wash it down. Special mention must go to David who seemed to be running the place singlehandedly and kept every single guest happy and well fed. Good work sir.

Our waiter was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The complimentary gazpacho in flute glasses on arrival was appreciated! The paella was to die for we had the mixed chicken and seafood, our waiter popped the skillet down and portioned out “Spanish sizes” for us! It was a nice touch. The decors lovely and it’s quite cosy. I do have to mention that they could’ve have done with an extra pair of hands... or two! Jose was the only waiter and bartender it seemed and by the time we were paying he had seven tables on his own. Jose was amazing despite this and we can’t wait to come back. Bravissimo!

With amazing, independently operated restaurants like this, there is never an excuse to be caught wandering into one of the boring chains that litter the rest of Upper Street. We were one of two large parties on the day of our visit but this did not impact the service at all, which was welcoming and efficient throughout. The menu is extensive but the proprietor guided us through it and made some excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The tapas dishes we ordered incorporated the local styles from the region of Spain from where the owners originate, and the generously portioned paellas (we ordered two) were hot and fresh, as was all of the food. We felt well looked after and will definitely visit again.
