Mezcal Cantina

This was my second visit to Mezcal Cantina, this time for food. The food was delicious, I had the Birria de Cordero and it was tasty and the lamb was very tender. There's a fun vibe, the music makes you feel like you're on holiday and the staff are so friendly!

It's a cute place and the staff are nice, but the enchiladas were supposed to be very spicy and were mild, and also not very hot and the cheese on top wasn't melted. The house margarita was a bit sweet and weak as well.

We got a horrible table by the door -it was freezing when anyone came in. Very slow service and they weren't doing their proper menu as it was nye which we didn't find out until we got there. The nye menu was terrible, nothing on there that I'd came there to eat, just a lump of chicken/pork/lamb next to some potatoes.

Authentic and delicious as usual. Left stuffed and satisfied. Highly recommend a visit. Try the pollo con mole, a very rich cacao based dish. Yummy!

Had a great Birthday celebration at Mezcal Cantina last night. They were very accommodating especially when we were more people than originally booked for. Food was delicious. Only one small thing... the music was very loud making it difficult to have conversations at times.

If you are looking for a home cooked Mexican feast, then this is the place to be. I did not mind that there was a wait for cocktails and food, as the people running this little establishment are working as fast as they can. If you are one of those people who hate waiting, then yes, this isn't the place for you. But if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, served with a smile and from a family with great passion for what they do, then this is the place to go.
