The small family and team behind Molly’s Grill & Pizzeria are passionate about good Italian food and love nothing more than being able to serve it to the people of Lancaster. On Church Street, right in the heart of the city, Molly’s is only small but the flavours on the menu are big, and you’d better believe that this restaurant serves some of the most authentic and well-topped pizzas around. The pasta plates are also a treat, as is anything from the grill, notably the Molly’s signature surf & turf complete with an 8oz sirloin and gamberoni. Lancaster loves this place and we’re sure you will, too.
Had Sunday roast which was roast beef which was a very good helping with vegetables which were cooked just enough. Food was great and service was good.
Very nice food and service. Nice and clean, they Carried out what notes I left on the account. Would go again in the future. .
This is probably the most authentic Italian in the area - they don't spoil their sauces with pre packed ingredients from a jar as is so often the case elsewhere - keep up those standards- good sauces make all the difference - it'd be great also if you could offer a gluten free garlic bread .
Recommend. The staff we're very friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was quick and most importantly the food was delicious. We will defiantly be returning.
My friend & I had a pleasant early evening meal at Molly's, the reservation made online. There is a good menu choice reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a nice choice of draught Italian lager( if that's your taste). My one negative feedback given on the night was that although the vegetables had been cooked nicely, they were on the cool side, something that some customers would complain vigorously about.
I have visited Molly's so many times and always found it to be fantastic no matter what time of day we visited. On this visit I found it really disappointing. We had booked a table beforehand. When we came in we were greeted with a waitress who was disengaged and uninterested with us. We were taken to our seat and not spoken to. We then had to ask for a drinks menu. Although the food was excellent I just found the service really poor feeling rushed and not made to feel welcome at all. Because of all the other times we had been here and the service being excellent you are always going to expect that but this time was very disappointing. Will we return? I'm not so sure.
Lovely food. All of the party thoroughly enjoyed their experience. The only reason it's not a 6 is because the restaurant was a little chilly. We were sat at the far end and I think it gets cold from the stairwell.
Really lovely meal and service, can't fault them! We were greeted and seated immediately, only the most brief pause between starter and mains as one would expect. The service was fantastic.
This restaurant was everything we had hoped for. The staff were friendly, the food was gorgeous and plentiful and the prices were great. Highly recommended, I look forward to visiting again.
Fabulous service and ok food. Drinks a little pricey and happy hour food not so cheap, lovely place though and great staff. Didn't like my pasta as it was nothing special, but the garlic bread was amazing!
