Monkey Grinder in Sefton Park is one of those places where one visit is all you need to know that it’s going to become a regular post-work haunt, or a go-to for catching up with old friends. The menu is based around Spanish tapas, making it the ideal spot for sharing dishes with your nearest and dearest while indulging in a cocktail or two – and its gin menu is well worth a look as well. The menu is the star of the show, and we recommend getting straight to it and ordering a charcuterie board to get things going, where you’ll find delectable cured meats like jamon iberico, chorizo and salchichon alongside manchego, mahon and azul cheeses. The lunchtime menu had plenty of choice and the dishes we chose were all delicious - padron peppers, calamari and the charcuterie board. The staff were friendly and efficient.
