Great food excellent atmosphere. Busy but still a relaxing meal. Friendly staff . You can have a cheeky drink in the Gin bar accross the road before your meal if you are early. Highly reccommended.

High quality food. Menu offered a good range of choices. Attentive but not overbearing service. Busy restaurant which created a good atmosphere. We will be eating here again.

Mustard and Punch always has a good atmosphere, excellent service and - most importantly - freshly cooked and quality food. We come here time and again and will continue to do so.

This is the second time we have been here recently and as previously good value food with attentive staff. We are planning to go back again in the near future.

We had a lovely evening at the mustard and punch for my birthday. The food was delicious and staff very friendly! We will definitely be returning again!

Disappointing. Whilst the starters were good, mains not so. One dish (steak) was over cooked and has to be replaced. We visited for a romantic meal and we ended up watching each other eat separately. First the waitress offered to just replace the steak rather than the plate which would have meant eating chips seperate then a steak seperate and secondly she didn’t offer to keep mine warm while we waited. My main of halumi was tasty but the portion of cheese was more like the starter option and the sour dough bread was the thinnest slice which may as well not have been bothered with. I expected a reflection in the service to have been seen on the bill. It was not and after querying this was offered five pounds off (insulting!). When we were clearly not happy but paid the bill the waitress then attempted to sell us a further promotion the chain of resteraunts had! We declined and left, would not visit again which is a shame as the ambience was nice.

Our first time here, the food is wonderful...the staff were very pleasant ... a bit quiet for a Thursday evening! We’ve been to the sister tapas bar before, Punch Bar and again very nice food and staff...! Will definitely be returning to both *****

Excellent service, attentive without being over fussy. Food was excellent, nicely prepared and presented. Once the restaurant started to fill up there was a nice atmosphere too. Very pleasant surroundings will be back for more!

Only reason not to award 6 is the starter menu. There were three of us, and whilst we could have chosen something, there was nothing that tempted any of us - down to personal choice, obviously. Otherwise, nothing to fault M&P - good choice of main courses (we went for Duck, Lamb & Salmon - all tasty & well cooked / presented) and desserts, including cheese selection which isn’t always available. Wine we chose (Rioja) also very good as was service. So, we will definitely be back

As usual, excellent meal and service. One of the best restaurants in the area. Always a good choice of dishes and excellent value house wine.

The early evening visit worked out well for our party - welcoming hostess and attractive table settings. However set menu choices were disappointing and limited but worked out for some. Service was good although dishes generally could have been hotter - French house wines were well chosen and excellent. Sadly dishes didn't show much finesse with ingredients or presentation so missed the mark. Overall could have been a better experience.

WE all had a lovely evening. Good menu, I had the veggie option (Caesar salad)which was tasty and a bit different, unlike lots of other veggie foods in mainstream restaurants where the choice is usually something cheesy or leeky! Fish and lamb were all just right and the mashed pots were perfect. Excellent service and good atmosphere.

Good food with excellent service, downstairs area a bit squashed for service staff to get through. Would definitely recommend. The group of restaurants in Honley offer an amazing choice.

The food is always excellent and the staff, especially Rachael, extremely helpful and efficient. Whenever I visit Honley I make a point of making a reservation at this restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. It as a very nice atmosphere to the place . Definitely be going back !!

Great restaurant based in the centre of Honley. Great food, fantastic wine and very, attentive friendly staff. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

The reception and service were excellent and the ambience much improved since my last visit. We had a Two Course special which was extremely good value for money as was my half-bottle of wine.

A lovely little restaurant where we had a steak night meal. The food was very good I had some extra creamy garlic mushrooms which were excellent. The service was excellent the only down side a very loud set of people on a nearby table.

A very pleasant evening, good food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the Mustard & Punch for a great night out. I did notice when we were there they also do a early bird menu.

Fantastic food - my wife thought the lamb loin was undercooked. The rest was absolutely fantastic. It was a nice touch to give my wife a surprise dish of a birthday cake slice and a lovely message saying "Happy Birthday" in chocolate sauce. Great service - always with a friendly smile - and wonderful atmosphere.

Excellent food and great staff. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after, without being over attentive. The food quality was great and would recommend the confit of lamb main meal, for its amazing flavour. Looking forward to our next visit.

Very relaxed place with the choice of 3 menues catering for all tastes and budgets. This is our 3rd time eating at this restaurant and it will most cetainley not be our last.

Great value, great food, friendly service. Not a huge menu but something for everyone - even vegan - and made out of high quality incredients

Serving staff were very friendly but service was extremely slow - 2hrs 10mins to be served just two courses. Visited on Friday evening and the place was only about half full. We weren’t approached to ask if we wanted more drinks - we had to collar a staff member - nor were we asked if we were enjoying our meals. Main courses were okay, nothing special. Our bill was also incorrect, overcharged almost £10. Disappointing experience really, not least because this was an anniversary treat but also because so many restaurants are closing down (& this isn’t a cheap place to eat) that you would imagine those sites that are still in business would be a bit keener to pay attention to their customers. We won’t be going back to this one any time soon.

Food excellent service delightful thought that the price of a glass of what I presumed was house wine was over priced.....I was glad I did not have another glass......I realise it was my fault I did not check the cost beforehand.obviously it is more cost effective to order a bottle.!

We ate a lovely meal at Mustard and Punch but sadly the evening was spoilt because the room was being shared with a large and very loud 40th birthday party.

Enjoyable evening & good food. Perhaps we could have been offered a bigger (or different) table as there were a few others empty close by. We were placed & almost squeezed in (still carrying our outside coats), to 2 diners already having their food.

Delicious food and very friendly staff! We came to the restaurant with our friends and really enjoyed the whole expierence. The staff is fantastic, very nice and polite. Food is top quality. We will definately come back!

Fantastic food. Real top quality gastro restaurant with well sized portions. We went for the set meal which was beautiful and very reasonable priced. Presentation was impeccable and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definatley eat there again!

Very nice food and staff, would definitely go here again. Used the other restaurants they’ve got, Punch is my favourite. Reasonably priced restaurants for good quality food.

Vegetarian options were definitely not worth the money for the portion size or the care taken. Overcharged in all areas of the bill & not itemised so even harder to work out just how much we’d been charged. Won’t be going back.

Lovely new decor and ambiance, food lovely and excellent value, The daft IPA was a hit with the men, would definitely recommend to friends and will be back.

Had tasting menu,excellent,wonderful mixture of flavours and superbly cooked,will do it again,well worth the drive over to Hanley on a most inclement night,we had a very warm welcome

Food, service and ambiance good. The lunch menu slightly on the heavy side so couldn’t fit a desert in. Maybe less chips and mash potatoes more greens or salad. Smaller portions as none of us finished our mains after large starter.

We ate early in the evening on a Saturday night and went for the set menu and wasn't disappointed. Good food with good levels of services and attention from the staff. Would certainly look to re visit in the near future.

The staff were attentive from the moment we arrived .There was a great buzz in the restaurant and the food was superb and presented like a work of art. It was a great family birthday evening.
