Superb food! One of the best Indians I have visited in Scotland! We booked a table for 4 people at short notice and arrived to be seated immediately. Great menu with varied options. After poppadoms and chutneys I ordered the Mixed Meat and Prawn Sizzler with Jeera Pillao rice and a Keema Naan. The Sizzler had king Prawn, lamb and chicken tikka served on a hot sizzler plate with a wonderful aromatic spicy sauce. The rice was delicately spiced with cumin and the Naan bread was buttered and had the right amount of keema inside it. An excellent meal - I would thoroughly recommend it and will be coming again!

Visited early Sunday evening so was only 2 tables in so very quiet. Food good, on the expensive side. Fresh naan was gorgeous

I really enjoyed my evening at this resturant, the staff were very friendly, food excellent and they made an extra effort as it was my birthday. If/when I’m next in Edinburgh, I’ll definitely be making a visit back to the Namaste. Regards Dean

Food was tip-top and overall experience excellent. We had been to numerous Indian restaurants over Edinburgh and this was definitely one of the best. Liked the Nepalese variety, too.

Excellent meal as always! Great service, great prosecco, great food! The sharing platter is amazing! The chicken tikka nasals is lovely! And even the garlic naan is the best!

Booked for 6 during very busy Edinburgh Festival. Very welcoming and super food. Service was attentive and friendly. Good choice on menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Good food and location and friendly service. Be sure to specify strength of curry. The crab curry is not great but others are good. Book ahead.

The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Great options available and they cater to most tastes. Also reasonablely priced for the centre of Edinburgh during. The festival.

Very quick and polite service - good but meant we had eaten our food within 45 minutes (not a bad thing in this instance as we were heading to a festival show but other times would have liked to have taken more time). Food was delicious! I had a bindi dopiaza and it was lovely - also liked they asked how spicy you wanted each meal so you could Tailor to your palette. Enjoyable meal and will definitely go back again.

Nice little restaurant located in the Old Town. The Indian food (we didn't try the Nepalese food) is truly delicious and comes at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the staff very friendly and serviceminded.

Simple but tasty food at this restaurant. It is a bit on the pricey side but the service is good and the atmosphere was nice. Wouldn't mind to come here again to see if the good opinion stays the same.

The food was great and tasted very fresh and the waiter was v friendly. Great portion sizes and good value for money. Would recommend it.

Restaurant with great food and polite service. Kind of a long-ish wait but well worth it! The atmosphere was quite good with quiet music and nice lighting.

The staff were unexperienced. Too pricey for what is offered. Very hot inside no fresh air or vent system no good . Not recommended .

Outstanding mango chutney! A lovely chance to try a Nepalese twist on Indian food in nice surroundings with friendly staff. Will definitely go again and will recommend it to all my friends.

Excellent service, buzzy atmosphere even though it wasn't full. Since they serve both Indian and Nepalese food, there were some different things on the menu to try. Food was really good. I'd definitely go back on future visits to Edinburgh.

The food was excellent and the staff helpful and attentive. The Decor of the restaurant was a bit dated but the overall experience was very good.

Great food as usual served on hot plates which are wiped at the table before use . Service is efficient. No longer takes tastecard or gourmet club.

Went here not knowing what to expect after reading both very positive and very negative reviews. We were pleased we went. Service was friendly, attentive and good. The Rogan Josh and Chicken Madress were excellent. We will probably go to this restaura again next time we visit Edinburgh.

Food was amazing! Try the prawns in Papaya - I haven't eaten anything better in a long time. Service was good as well so definetely recommended
