I attended with my partner who is an electric wheelchair user so unable to climd/ decend any stairs. This meant a rather undignified entrance via the side door and no access to the restaurant at the rear. The good and coffee were very good with the staff being very courteous and professional . They also reserved a table for us which was very much appreciated, thanks

Service really wasn’t great - the waitress (blonde hair) really seemed like she couldn’t be bothered and was quite unapproachable. Missed one of our meals and we had all finished our food by the time that was served. No salt, pepper, condiments, sugar on the table and we weren’t offered any so had to ask which seemed like another hassle to the staff. It’s such a nice venue and the food and coffee is lovely but you’re really let down by service. The cost of the late meal was taken off which we appreciated but not great overall.

Really slow service. Waited 50 minutes for our food and when we highlighted this there was no apology just a very defensive response. Food was luke warm and average when it arrived. We asked for fresh tea/coffee due to the wait and we were not charged for these which was appreciated.

Food and drinks were really tasty. Didnt take long for food to arrive. Staff seated us quickly, took orders and brought everything over. The only part that we felt like could be improved slightly was the service throughout. We had to wave down if we wanted anything but long period when there was no staff meant long periods of waiting to order. Otherwise absolutely delicious. Been a few times and will definitely continue. The shop out front is fab, always leave with some extra goodies xx

Food good and service was exclent. Burgers could have been warmer but overall good and tasty. Pancakes were delicious.

Service was very good. Food was good - very large portions so not to everyone's taste on that basis. Only critique was we were at a table of 2, sat right next to another table of 2 when the cafe was virtually empty at that point in time. Felt a bit intrusive to us & the other customers given it was quiet & we could hear each others conversations!

Food excellent. Service a bit slow. Staff friendly. Good overall.

Food was excellent. If rating was based on food alone I would have rated excellent however service was extremely slow. Booking was made at 1pm. We arrived 1.15pm. order to taken at 1.45pm (after chasing) and food was brought out at 2.30pm. kids were beyond hungry! Staff were really friendly so it was a shame the service was so slow.

Had a fabulous Mother’s Day lunch at Nel&Co- food was great and service was excellent.

Lots of empty tables and I asked to be moved to a table for 2 on its own instead of table at end a row of tables. I was told they were reserved even although it was just the same table for two? My friend has hearing aids so better to be away from noise right beside you. Very unhelpful. The first girl I asked never even came back and I had to ask a second girl. We had to stay where we were. We ordered Eggs Benedict which was nice but the muffin was burned to a crisp! The waitress asked how was it and I said fine except muffin was burned and she could see as it was black and still on plate. Response was oh..I’ll say to them. Wouldn’t go back here which is sad as we used to go to the grapevine often with all the family , certainly wouldn’t like to share that experience with anyone !! I never write a bad review as prefer to give benefit of doubt but it was just awful experience all round .

Food was delicious as usual. Service was great. Was busy but handled well.

The food was lovely but unfortunately the service was not great. We didn’t get menus as we sat down and had to ask for some. We then waited an hour for our food whilst others around us were served - one table came in after us, were served and finished their food and left before we even got our food served. Eventually when the food was served, there was no apology or recognition of this from the staff serving or even from the other staff member when it came to payment. We also got some cakes to take away and again the girl serving us was not very friendly and got our order of 3 cakes wrong. Nice place for food but it’s a shame about the service. Unfortunately due to this experience I won’t be returning.

We were 20mins to order a coffee and ordered our food ,we had to ask for our food order 3 times and received it 80mins after ordering . Very disappointed ☹️

When we were being seated, another patron stopped our waitress to chase up her drinks order - it didn’t fill me with hope for the meal ahead, however we were seated and had our drinks order taken and brought to our table promptly. We ordered some sandwiches and a side of fries, all of which were lovely, with generous portions. Unfortunately lots of tables around us seemed to be chasing up orders, sending them back to the kitchen, drinks being brought to the wrong table etc. I would definitely visit again, but would perhaps avoid peak times & coming with a large party after seeing this.

Lovely little cosy place. Food menu had lots of choice, I'd definitely be back again as there was more I'd like to try. Very relaxed, no rush for getting you out of the door even though it was busy. Delicious cakes too.

Meals came 10 minutes apart . Bread was a bit hard.. Waited at least 20 mins for a coffee and we had to remind them twice . The place wasn’t busy at this point . A bit disappointed ☹️

Food quality was great. along with value for money. Did feel that the restaurant became extremely loud and at time difficulty in hearing the conversation around the table.

Nel was busy which resulted in very slow service. Food when it eventually arrived excellent and would recommend.

Meal was lovely Service lacklustre Had to go to front to order dessert as no one approached our table for some time. When it did come there was no where to put it as mains hadn't been cleared away. Waitress spilled coffee as she served it and didn't wipe it up. Victoria sponge cake was stale. Food was good but overall service would put me off returning

Had been before and was great but today I had the Full breakfast and the ham was beyond well done and the toast was burnt. Scrambled eggs looked like they had been under a warmer for some time. Very disappointed

We went in for breakfast before attending a Santa day with 3 children. We ordered 4x breakfasts and one toast and avocado - there were 5 people in total. We waited an absolute age for the food to come and the kids were starving - the waitress then brought over 3 x breakfasts and the toast and avocado. I advised we were waiting on one more and I was then told that she thought we had only ordered 3 breakfasts and assumed the kids were sharing. This was not questioned or checked at all during the orderigg process, she then said she would get the other one made. It took a further 20 minutes for the breakfast to come which I had to chase and the wee boy whose breakfast it was was in tears. There was no urgency, or offer of something else that might have been quicker etc. I then asked for the bill, which they brought over (and I had been fully charged for everything) and I then asked for the card machine. After waiting another 15 minutes with no card machine being brought over I went down to ask if I could pay and was told that the card machine was out of charge and I would need to go to the front desk! I should have been advised this at the point in time that I asked to pay! Service was absolutely abysmal in there and I will not be rushing back!
